The first Chemist Warehouse in Kalgoorlie-Boulder was announced to open on 5 March 2024, and a Kalgoorlie Miner result published the following day reported that it had officially opened. The “opening soon” wording is now out of date. If you are planning a visit, check the retailer’s current store listing or call ahead: the hours published with the 2024 announcement were planned hours, not verified current hours.
When did Chemist Warehouse open in Kalgoorlie-Boulder?
A report by ChroniclesLive on 19 February 2024 said local operators Jessica and Shannon Gaspari planned to open the store on 5 March 2024. A Kalgoorlie Miner search result dated 6 March 2024 reported that the shop had officially opened. The Miner article is subscriber-restricted, so its headline and date establish the reported opening, but not further details.
Where is the store?
The opening announcement placed it on the corner of O’Connor and Maguire streets, between the IGA supermarket and Alpha Medical. Later directory and job-search results also point to a Chemist Warehouse in the Kalgoorlie area and to a pharmacist role at Chemist Warehouse O’Connor. These sources support the general location, but do not establish a current, exact street address. Check Chemist Warehouse’s current store listing before travelling.
What hours does it keep?
The 2024 announcement listed planned hours of 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, starting from the announced opening date. Those are historical planned hours, not independently verified current opening times. Confirm today’s hours through the retailer’s current listing or by phone before making a trip.

What was the store expected to offer?
In the opening announcement, the Gasparis described a planned range covering fragrances, beauty, healthcare and clinical services. The announcement also said prescription customers could use the Chemist Warehouse app for reminders and collection. These details describe what was announced for the opening; they are not a current, independently checked service list.
Retail manager Shannon Gaspari said the owners wanted to be part of the local community, rather than simply fly in to operate the store. He also described the potential savings for the community as a motivation. Those were his comments in the 19 February 2024 ChroniclesLive report, not a quantified savings claim.
