Dollar General’s official materials reviewed as of October 8, 2026, do not document a way to unclip or remove a digital coupon once it is in your myDG Wallet. If your app does not show a removal control, check the offer terms and contact Dollar General through its Customer Care Center for account-specific help; the published materials do not confirm that support can remove a coupon.
What Dollar General’s instructions say
Dollar General describes selecting a digital coupon and adding it to the myDG Wallet as the activation step. Its terms and conditions explain coupon activation and redemption, while its app page and Apple App Store listing describe finding, viewing, searching, sorting, and filtering coupons. Those official materials do not provide steps for removing a clipped coupon or verify that an “Unclip” button is available.

What to do if you clipped the wrong coupon
- Check the coupon in your myDG Wallet. Open its details and review its item, purchase, and expiration requirements. The app’s current interface may change, so look there for a removal control rather than relying on an unverified button name or path.
- If there is no removal control, ask Dollar General. Use the Customer Care Center for guidance about your account. Available materials do not establish that support can unclip it.
- Before checkout, confirm the offer you intend to use. For an in-store digital coupon, Dollar General says to enter the phone number associated with your account before completing checkout, and the coupon’s terms must be met. See the official terms.
Why a clipped coupon may affect another offer
Clipping can matter even if you do not plan to use that coupon. Dollar General’s myDG FAQ says a digital coupon and DG Cash back offer cannot apply to the same item at once. If both are clipped for that item, the digital coupon takes priority, and you will not receive the DG Cash.
Dollar General’s published coupon policy, marked updated April 2018, describes digital coupons as manufacturer coupons unless labeled “DG Store Coupon” in the digital coupon gallery. It also says that when a digital coupon and paper coupon conflict for the same item, whichever applies first takes precedence. Because that policy page is dated, check the live offer terms and current app behavior for restrictions that apply to your purchase.
