To reach Apple by phone about Apple Pay, visit Apple’s Contact Support page, select your country or region, and follow the phone-support option shown. Apple’s phone numbers can change, and some work only when called from the country or region they serve. For a declined card or a question about card eligibility, contact the bank or card issuer instead: the issuer decides whether to approve Apple Pay transactions.
How to find Apple’s current phone-support number
-
Choose your country or region.
-
Select the relevant support topic and use the phone option Apple displays, if one is available.
Apple’s contact page, published August 26, 2026, says it provides the phone number for each country or region. Do not assume a number listed for one market works elsewhere. Local or national rates may apply; a toll-free call from a mobile phone may still incur charges, and some numbers may not work from outside their associated region.
Should you call Apple or your card issuer?
Use the organization that controls the part of the payment process causing the problem. Apple’s Apple Pay Support hub covers setup, account and card management, transactions, payments, and security. The bank or card issuer handles card participation and transaction approval.

| Issue | Best first contact or action |
|---|---|
| Apple Pay setup or an Apple device or service problem | Use Apple’s Contact Support page and select your region to find the available support route. |
| A payment was declined | Contact the bank or card issuer. Apple says Apple Pay transactions are routed to issuers for approval. |
| You are unsure whether your card works with Apple Pay | Ask the issuer whether it participates and whether your specific card is eligible. |
| You cannot add a card to Wallet | Check issuer support, device compatibility, software, region, authentication settings, and Apple service or connectivity. For the card-related errors Apple identifies, contact the issuer. |
| Your device with Wallet cards is lost | Use Find My to turn on Lost Mode, remove payment ability through your Apple Account, or erase the device remotely. Contact the issuer to suspend cards if needed. |
| Apple Cash or person-to-person payment question | Use the separate Apple Cash support route shown on Apple’s contact page for your market. |
When the card will not add to Wallet
Card setup can involve both Apple and the issuer. Check whether the issuer supports Apple Pay and whether the card and device meet Apple’s requirements for your region. Also check that the device software is current and authentication is configured. If Wallet displays a card-related error, the issuer can confirm whether it can verify or enable the card; Apple’s Apple Pay setup guidance covers the other checks.
If an iPhone or other device with Wallet cards is lost
Do not wait for a phone-support call before securing payment access. Use Find My to turn on Lost Mode, or remove the device’s payment ability through your Apple Account; you can also erase it remotely. Call the bank or card issuer to suspend the cards if needed. Apple explains these options in its lost or stolen device guidance.

Apple Pay, Apple Cash, and Apple Card are different support routes
Apple’s contact page lists Apple Cash and person-to-person payments separately from general Apple Pay support. Use the Apple Cash route for those questions rather than treating an Apple Cash contact number as a general Apple Pay line. For Apple Card transaction questions, follow the separate Wallet workflow Apple provides; Apple Card support is distinct from general Apple Pay troubleshooting. Apple’s Apple Card transaction guidance describes that process.

Apple can help with its devices, Wallet setup, and Apple Pay service troubleshooting. It does not make the issuer’s decision to approve a bank card transaction. In the United States, Apple says Apple Pay is provided by Apple Payments Services LLC, an Apple Inc. subsidiary, and that neither entity is a bank; payment cards are offered by issuers. That description is specific to the U.S. and should not be assumed to describe arrangements in every country or region.
