How Amazon Shopper Panel rewards work
Amazon describes Shopper Panel as an invitation-based program. Depending on what is available to them, members may share eligible receipts from purchases made outside Amazon, answer surveys, redeem offers, or participate in ad verification. Rewards are tied to approved activity, not simply to signing up.
Amazon advertises receipt rewards of up to $10 per month. That is a maximum opportunity, not a promised monthly payout. Survey reward amounts vary and are shown in the app before you participate. Receipt offers may have their own eligibility and expiration terms. Members choose one monthly reward type: Amazon Balance or a charitable donation. Check whether you can join
Amazon lists limited participation for customers aged 18 or older in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, and Japan. Space can be limited, and eligible customers may be waitlisted. Availability and program terms can change, so check Amazon’s official program page or app for your location.
Weigh the privacy trade-off
To provide the program, Amazon receives information participants choose to share, such as extracted receipt details, survey responses, and ad-verification information. Amazon’s FAQ says extracted receipt data, survey responses, and receipt images may be retained for up to 13 months. Review the current privacy information before deciding whether the rewards are worth sharing that data.

How to avoid Amazon gift-card scams
Scammers may use fake surveys, unsolicited messages, or urgent claims about prizes to persuade people to disclose sensitive information or send money. A real-looking Amazon logo or survey does not prove an offer is legitimate.
- Never pay a fee, buy a “starter kit,” or purchase gift cards to claim a prize, job, loan, or larger reward.
- Do not share a gift-card claim code or a photo of the card with someone who contacted you unexpectedly. A code can be spent before you can seek help.
- Be wary of urgent messages and forms asking for banking details or other sensitive personal information.
- Check a suspicious message by opening the Amazon app or typing Amazon’s address yourself. Do not trust links or phone numbers supplied in the message.

If you already sent money or a code
Contact the gift-card issuer promptly, keep the card and purchase receipt, and report the incident to the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC explains how to avoid and report gift-card scams.
