Square Enix’s 2025 Black Friday Steam Sale: Discounts and What’s Still Available

Square Enix announced a Steam Black Friday sale on November 19, 2025, with selected games discounted by as much as 90%. It is a historical promotion, not a current offer: as of October 8, 2026, the listed discounts should not be treated as today’s prices. If you are shopping now, check the Steam page for each game and your region’s current price.

What was included in Square Enix’s Black Friday Steam sale?

The publisher highlighted discounts on newer releases, collections and older catalog games. The reductions below are the percentages announced for the 2025 promotion, not current prices or guarantees that the same offer will return. Square Enix’s announcement was published on its PC Game Hub, and its archive dates the item to November 19, 2025.

#	Preview	Product	Price

Other featured titles included FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE, Dragon Quest X Offline, Dragon Quest Monsters 3, Dragon Quest Builders, Dragon Quest Treasures, Visions of Mana, FANTASIAN Neo Dimension and Dungeon Encounters. The announcement also described discounts from 35% to 90% across additional newer and older catalog games. Examples included Chrono Trigger at 50% off, Octopath Traveler at 60% off, NieR:Automata at 60% off, several classic Final Fantasy releases at reductions between 35% and 60%, and Left Alive at 90% off. The publisher’s announcement contains the full title-by-title list.

Were the discounts the same for every game and region?

No single price or end time applied across the entire promotion. Square Enix cautioned that Steam could show a different end time because of store behavior, that sale terms could change without notice, and that shoppers should confirm the sale price on each game’s Steam page. Prices and availability can also vary by region and edition, so an announced percentage does not establish what a particular buyer paid.

The practical check is the individual Steam listing in your account’s region. Square Enix’s Steam publisher catalog includes games, downloadable content, soundtracks and demos; use a specific product page to verify its current price and edition details.

How to check a Square Enix game’s current Steam price

1. Open the game’s individual Steam store page, rather than relying on an old sale announcement or a general publisher page.
2. Confirm that the displayed currency and price reflect your region and that the listing is for the edition you want.
3. Check the page for any active discount and its displayed end time before purchasing. The 2025 percentage is not evidence of a current offer.
4. If device compatibility matters, check that game’s own Steam listing. The publisher catalog provides a Steam Deck Verified filter, but that does not establish that every title from the 2025 promotion was verified or playable on Deck.

Does Steam run a Black Friday sale every year?

The announcement establishes that Square Enix ran this particular promotion in 2025; it does not promise a repeat. Steamworks describes four Steam-wide seasonal sales each year and requires a game to have been released at least 30 days before an event starts to be eligible to participate with a discount. Its calendar lists the 2026 Autumn Sale for October 1–8 and the Winter Sale for December 17, 2026–January 4, 2027. Those scheduled seasonal events are separate from the 2025 Square Enix Black Friday promotion and do not confirm that Square Enix will offer a Black Friday sale again.
