The story named a higher-priced product alongside a Kmart alternative in each comparison. It did not report independent side-by-side testing or establish matching ingredients, materials, safety, durability or performance. Its reported prices are historical figures from 11 April 2023.

How to read the comparisons
The list is useful as a record of products the creator featured, but a similar look or category does not show that two items do the same job equally well. The PerthNow story did not supply full specifications or an equivalence method. It also reported that the Kmart pyjama set shown in the video was no longer available when the story was published; the linked listings redirected to winter pyjama sets.
Check the details that matter for each category
- Beauty and fragrance: compare ingredient lists, shade, scent, size and skin suitability. A product name or similar packaging does not establish a matching formula.
- Hair and facial devices: check intended use, features and operating details rather than assuming a lower-priced tool has the same functions.
- Drinkware: compare capacity, materials and insulation details. The Kmart handled cup was identified as 840ml; that figure alone does not establish how it performs against the Stanley tumbler.
- Sleepwear, footwear and homewares: examine fabric or construction, fit, care requirements and the specific design before comparing value.
What the roundup does—and does not—tell shoppers
PerthNow reported that the TikTok video had more than 50,000 likes when its story appeared. That is the story’s engagement figure at publication, not a current count. A later rova article published 14 February 2025 covered other OXX comparisons, but that later coverage does not establish that these 16 items remain stocked or equivalent.
