What was included in the $99 ID.4 lease?
TopSpeed reported on July 25, 2025, that Volkswagen Garden Grove advertised a lease on a 2025 Volkswagen ID.4 Pro with rear-wheel drive. The headline terms were $99 per month for 24 months, with $2,995 down and taxes extra. The report said the dealer’s calculation included a $5,000 cash-back bonus. TopSpeed’s July 2025 report did not provide a complete contract worksheet.
The $99 figure covers only the advertised monthly payments, not the upfront amount. Based on the reported numbers, $99 multiplied by 24 payments equals $2,376; adding $2,995 down brings the stated total to $5,371 before tax. Dividing that total by 24 gives an effective cost of about $224 per month before tax. This is a simple calculation from the published figures, not a complete lease cost: unreported fees and other contract terms could change the amount paid.
What ID.4 incentives are listed now?
As of October 8, 2026, Volkswagen of America’s U.S. offers page lists a $12,500 customer bonus on a new, unused 2025 ID.4 and a $6,000 customer bonus on a new, unused 2026 ID.4. The page says the offers apply to purchases or leases through participating dealers from September 1 through November 2, 2026, and describes inventory as very limited. These are customer bonuses, not quoted monthly payments. The listed amounts do not establish what a particular dealer will charge for a specific lease or whether a bonus can be combined with a particular dealer discount or other incentive. Ask a participating dealer for the full written terms, including which incentives apply to your transaction.
How to compare an ID.4 lease quote
Ask the dealer for a written quote and compare the full deal rather than the monthly payment alone. Check that competing quotes cover the same vehicle and lease terms, and review:

- Monthly payment, lease term, and whether the quoted payment includes tax.
- Annual mileage allowance and the charge for miles over the limit.
- Wear-and-use conditions and any applicable end-of-lease fees.
- Exact model year, trim, and drivetrain, plus the dealer’s available inventory.
- Which customer bonuses or other incentives are included and whether you qualify.
- Your options and obligations at lease end, including return or purchase terms.
The 2025 Garden Grove report did not state the mileage allowance, complete fee schedule, residual value, or required credit tier. Do not assume those terms—or availability—based on the headline payment.

Volkswagen’s 2026 model information lists EPA-estimated ranges of 291 miles for the ID.4 Pro and Pro S, and 263 miles for the AWD Pro, AWD Pro S, and AWD Pro S Plus. These figures describe 2026 models; they should not be attributed to the 2025 Pro RWD in the historical lease report.

Volkswagen also describes a 24-month Electrify America Pass+ charging plan for eligible new 2026 vehicles purchased from an authorized U.S. Volkswagen dealer. Its page says a Volkswagen-approved NACS DC adapter is sold separately for compatible ID.4s to use designated Tesla Supercharger locations. Confirm vehicle and charger compatibility and the applicable offer terms with Volkswagen or the dealer.
