Labubu can be difficult to find when a popular release sells out, but availability changes by product, store and market. POP MART says popular items may sell out within seconds of a restock and that it cannot always give a specific restock date. Check the official listing for the Labubu you want, and use its “NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLE” option if offered; a notification is an update, not a guarantee you will be able to buy one.
Why Labubu can be hard to find
Demand is one reason. POP MART’s U.S. FAQ says popular products may sell out quickly, sometimes within seconds of being restocked, and that a specific restock date may not be available. That describes the company’s general experience with popular products; it does not establish whether any particular Labubu is in stock today. POP MART’s U.S. FAQ
The character’s visibility grew over time. Artist and illustrator Kasing Lung created Labubu, which appeared in picture books in 2015. Lung struck a deal with POP MART to sell figurines in 2019, and the character became more widely visible after the company began selling plush toys on key rings in 2023. Associated Press reporting connected further attention to celebrity exposure, including Blackpink’s Lisa sharing Labubu images, and to the appeal of collectible blind boxes. Associated Press coverage of Labubu’s launch and product announcements
AP’s 2025 coverage described short supply, long lines, resale markups and POP MART’s efforts to expand production and distribution. Those are dated observations, not a live inventory report. Only a current listing or store check can tell you whether a specific item is available now. AP’s 2025 report on demand and supply

Where to look for Labubu
Start with POP MART’s official channels
Search the official POP MART website or app for the specific series and market you want. When a listing offers “NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLE,” subscribe there. POP MART also identifies its official stores and ROBOSHOP vending machines as sources of authentic, verifiable products. Check that a particular store or machine is an official POP MART channel in your country; availability and notification options vary by product and market. POP MART’s U.S. FAQ
Compare the full cost before buying elsewhere
If you consider another seller, compare the total price, including shipping and any markup, with the official listing. A high resale price does not prove a product is genuine, and an attractive discount is not proof of a bargain. Check who actually sells the item rather than relying on a marketplace name alone. AP reported resale markups during the 2025 shortage period, but that does not establish today’s typical price or current availability. AP’s 2025 report on demand and supply

Know what a blind box does—and does not—promise
A blind box conceals the figure until you open it. POP MART says buyers cannot request a particular figure in a blind-box purchase. A secret edition is chance-based unless the listing expressly says the series includes one; buying a box does not guarantee the secret figure or a character you have in mind. POP MART’s U.S. FAQ
Read the specific listing before checkout. For example, POP MART’s THE MONSTERS Big into Energy Series-Vinyl Plush Pendant Blind Box page gives an April 25, 2025 release date, a height of 17 cm excluding the hanging loop, and materials listed as a PVC/polyester shell with polyester/iron-wire stuffing. The listing says the product is not suitable for people under 15. These are details for that product, not a claim that it is currently in stock or that every Labubu has the same specifications. How to check whether a Labubu is authentic
- Check the seller and channel. Prefer POP MART’s official website, stores or ROBOSHOP machines. For another seller, verify who is fulfilling the sale and be cautious about deep-discount offers. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advises buyers to know their seller and check authenticity and safety markings. CPSC counterfeit Labubu alert
- Use POP MART’s label verification process where available. POP MART’s FAQ directs buyers to enter the number from the holographic label on its official authenticity verification site. Follow the instructions on the label and the official site. POP MART’s U.S. FAQ
- Compare physical details, but do not rely on one sign alone. The CPSC says authentic dolls feature a holographic Pop Mart sticker and a QR code linking to POP MART’s official site; newer editions may also have a subtle UV stamp on one foot. It says authentic dolls have nine teeth and warns that fakes can have overly bright colors or the wrong number of teeth. A visual match is not a substitute for checking the seller and using the official verification process. CPSC counterfeit Labubu alert
- Read safety labels and age guidance. The CPSC recommends checking small-parts warnings and safety labels. POP MART’s cited Big into Energy pendant listing says it is not suitable for people under 15. POP MART product listing CPSC counterfeit Labubu alert
Counterfeits are also a safety concern. Australia’s consumer regulator, the ACCC, warns that some fake “Lafufu” dolls may fit entirely in a young child’s mouth, while others may have detachable eyes, feet or hands and poor stitching that could create choking hazards. The ACCC also cites reports raising concerns about harmful chemical levels, such as lead; that is a reported concern, not evidence that every counterfeit has been tested or contains lead. What shortage reports and market figures can—and cannot—tell you
AP reported that POP MART recorded 13.04 billion yuan in 2024 revenue, about $1.81 billion, more than double its 2023 revenue, partly due to Labubu. AP also reported that plush-toy revenue grew by more than 1,200% in 2024 and represented nearly 22% of overall revenue. Those company figures show the scale of a broader commercial surge; they do not measure the number of Labubu items available to buy or prove a current shortage. AP’s 2025 report on demand and supply
Similarly, AP reported Circana figures showing adult toy sales rose 12% year over year in the first quarter of 2025, and that adults spent $1.8 billion on toys in that quarter. Circana said buyers aged 18 and older accounted for more than $800 million of the U.S. toy market’s year-over-year increase in 2024. These figures describe the wider toy market, not Labubu inventory.
