Why the ranking is only an estimate
Celebrity net-worth figures are not audited personal financial statements. They can be opaque, change over time, and differ between publishers. Just Jared itself says it could not find accurate net-worth data for several cast members, so the list should be read as a selection of published estimates, not a complete or independently verified ranking.

For example, Just Jared’s 2026 feature lists Simu Liu at $12 million. A TIME profile published February 18, 2024 relayed a Celebrity Net Worth estimate of $4 million. These are different estimates reported at different dates; the available information does not establish which is more accurate or why they differ.
Cast members listed as having unknown net worth
Just Jared labels the following performers “Unknown Net Worth”: Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Sharon Rooney, Ana Cruz Kayne, Ritu Arya, Ncuti Gatwa, Jamie Demetriou, Connor Swindells, Emerald Fennell, and Ann Roth. Unknown does not mean zero; it means the ranking did not supply an estimate for them.

Robbie and Gosling’s 2023 earnings are a different measure
Margot Robbie’s and Ryan Gosling’s positions on Forbes’ 2023 highest-paid actors list concern estimated income during one calendar year, not their total net worth. Forbes España’s March 6, 2024 account says Robbie ranked No. 2 and Gosling No. 4. The ranking was based on estimated earnings from theatrical box office, video-on-demand, and the first streaming window for Barbie. Those annual earnings estimates cannot be substituted for the net-worth figures above.

Just Jared’s slideshow separately places the fictional character Barbie at $3 billion, citing a Forbes estimate that Barbie had generated more than $3 billion in sales by 2009. That historical figure concerns sales associated with the character and brand; it is not the net worth of Margot Robbie or any other performer, and it is not a current sales total.

For additional brand context, TIME reported in 2023 that Barbie sales reached a record $1.7 billion in 2021. That is product and brand sales context, not personal wealth or cast income. The movie’s commercial relationship to Mattel is also distinct from actors’ finances: in TIME’s June 27, 2023 cover story, Mattel CEO Ynon Kreiz described the company’s shift toward managing franchises and intellectual property. Corporate strategy and merchandise sales do not establish how much any cast member personally owns.
