The exact salaries of the Outer Banks cast have not been reliably disclosed. Madelyn Cline said in a 2023 Cosmopolitan interview, “We all make the same amount,” but that is her account of the ensemble’s pay—not an independently verified record of every actor’s contract or compensation in every season.

What is known about the cast’s pay?

There is no reliable public figure establishing what a named Outer Banks actor earns per episode or per season. A 2026 analysis by Social Life Magazine says individual pay is not confirmed and that its estimates rely on broader reported ranges and assumptions, rather than public contract records.

Cline’s comment about equal pay

In her 2023 Cosmopolitan interview, Cline said the cast made the same amount and described the ensemble’s desire for fair compensation. That on-record statement is relevant evidence about how she characterized the cast’s pay, but it does not state a dollar amount or establish that every performer had identical terms across all seasons.

Why an exact answer is difficult

Actor contracts are not generally public disclosures, and the sources reviewed do not provide an original union, regulator, or contract record confirming salaries for the show’s cast. Without that kind of evidence, a precise actor-by-actor salary chart would imply more certainty than the available information supports.

Does the cast make $20,000–$40,000 per episode?

That range appears in Social Life Magazine’s 2026 discussion as a reported band for first-time series regulars on streaming teen dramas. The article explicitly does not confirm it as the rate for any Outer Banks actor. Treat it as broad industry context—not a verified show salary or a reliable basis for calculating what a particular cast member has earned.

Parade’s 2026 coverage also repeats the range and speculates about possible later raises by comparing the cast with Stranger Things. That comparison is an analogy, not evidence of a raise or contract rate on Outer Banks.

Why net-worth estimates don’t answer the salary question

Net worth and salary are different measures. Salary is compensation from a job; net worth is the value of a person’s assets minus liabilities. It can reflect many sources of income and spending over time, not just one television role. Social Life Magazine’s 2026 cast-net-worth article describes its figures as unsupported estimates and uses modeled assumptions rather than verified disclosures of individual pay or finances. Those numbers should not be treated as confirmed salaries.

What early-career stories and background rates can—and can’t—show

Chase Stokes’s early money anecdote

Netflix Tudum has reported that Stokes could not afford his first month’s rent in South Carolina and that Rudy Pankow lent him money. This offers a glimpse of a specific early period in Stokes’s career, not proof of what he was paid for the series or what he earned in later seasons.

Background and stand-in work is a different job category

A Backstage article published in November 2024 recounted an earlier casting notice listing $132–$168 for a 12-hour day, plus a $50 COVID-19 testing stipend, for background and stand-in roles. Those figures concern a historical notice for non-featured work; they are not a lead-actor rate and should not be compared with an unverified per-episode estimate.

What can viewers reasonably conclude?

  • No reliable source reviewed establishes an exact salary for an individual Outer Banks cast member.
  • Cline said the cast made the same amount in a 2023 interview, but her comment does not disclose the rate or independently establish all contract terms.
  • The $20,000–$40,000 per-episode figure is a reported general range, not a confirmed rate for the show.
  • Net-worth estimates, early-career anecdotes, and background-actor notices do not fill the gap in principal-cast salary disclosures.

Netflix Tudum’s 2026 coverage identifies season five as the show’s final season, with production wrapped in December 2025 and an August 20, 2026 release date. That final-season context does not reveal cast compensation.
