The most useful TikTok business trends for April 2025 are not a verified ranking of that month’s hottest sounds or hashtags. They are nine longer-term signals in TikTok’s What’s Next 2025 report: broaden your creator mix, build trust through conversation, show up consistently, reflect specific communities, experiment with creative formats and use comments as feedback.
TikTok presents these signals as a forecast for 2025, not an April-specific measurement. Use them to guide strategy; check TikTok’s current trend tools before choosing a particular sound, hashtag or short-lived format.
What TikTok’s 2025 trend report does—and does not—tell businesses
TikTok’s What’s Next 2025 report separates short-lived “Trend Moments” from longer-term “Trend Signals” and broader “Trend Forces.” Its nine signals are organized under three themes TikTok calls “Brand Chem”: Brand Fusion, Identity Osmosis and Creative Catalysts. The report is a forward-looking guide to behavior and creative direction, not a record of which trends were most popular in April 2025.
That distinction matters if you are searching for content ideas from a specific month. The report does not establish a globally ranked list of April’s most-used sounds, hashtags or formats, and it does not specify one geography or business vertical. For a time-sensitive trend choice, consult TikTok’s Creative Center Trend Dashboards or Trends Hub and check that the signal is relevant to your market and audience.
#1 Best Overall
The report draws on commissioned mixed-method research, with cited studies conducted between 2022 and 2024. Their markets and methods differ, so the statistics below are TikTok Marketing Science findings—not universal performance benchmarks.
Brand Fusion: build stronger relationships with audiences
TikTok uses Brand Fusion to describe brands becoming more responsive and building lasting bonds. Its three signals focus on creator variety, conversation and a steady presence in everyday life.
Creator Spread: work with a broader mix of creators
Creator Spread recommends reaching audiences through creators across different niches instead of relying on one creator type. A varied roster can help a business speak to distinct communities in a way that feels credible to each.
TikTok reports that 65% of TikTok users like when brands partner with a variety of creators. This is a TikTok Marketing Science North America Value in Variety Study finding from 2023; the study covered the United States and Canada and was conducted by Alter Agents. It indicates an audience preference, not a guarantee that adding creators will increase sales or reach for a particular business.

Adapt the message and creative to the audience rather than asking every creator to reproduce the same post. TikTok names its TikTok One Creator Marketplace as a creator discovery and collaboration resource; check current availability and terms before relying on it.
Trust Fund: make room for real conversation
Trust Fund points brands toward content that invites conversation and gives people room to feel heard and valued. That means treating comments as part of the experience, not merely as reactions to a finished campaign. Ask questions your team can genuinely respond to, acknowledge useful criticism and answer recurring questions clearly.
Rank #3
Constant Confidant: show up beyond campaign peaks
Constant Confidant frames a brand as a consistent partner in ordinary moments, not just a presence during product launches or major campaigns. A business can apply this by maintaining a realistic publishing rhythm and including lighter, everyday content that reflects what its audience cares about between announcements.
Identity Osmosis: reflect changing values and perspectives
Identity Osmosis is TikTok’s theme for brands incorporating evolving consumer values into their identity. Its three signals encourage businesses to represent niche perspectives with care and to avoid assuming everyone shares the same life-stage priorities.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsPower of Perspectives: represent communities with nuance
People can use a specific point of view to connect with a wider audience. For a business, the practical lesson is to understand the community behind a perspective and represent it accurately rather than treating identity as a costume or a broad demographic shortcut. Creator partnerships can help bring relevant lived experience into content, provided the creator has a genuine fit with the subject.
Rank #4
Girls are Girling: recognize communities formed around shared experience
TikTok’s report describes female inclusivity as a business consideration and highlights communities forming around shared life experiences. For brands, this is a prompt to listen for the needs and language of the people they serve, and to avoid flattening those experiences into generic messaging.
In OUR Era: rethink conventional life-stage marketing
In OUR Era points to creators reshaping traditional life-stage marketing through more personal goals and intimate milestones. Instead of assuming that age or a conventional life event dictates what someone wants, build content around the goals and experiences your audience actually expresses.

Creative Catalysts groups signals about using tools to ideate, produce and learn, while taking creative risks. The report’s advice is to experiment—not to assume a tool or format will automatically perform.

AI Eases Everyday: use AI to support the creative process
TikTok presents generative AI as a way to ease ideation and production. Businesses can try it for routine tasks such as generating starting points or exploring variations, while keeping people responsible for accuracy, originality, brand voice and final decisions. The report cites a Global Gen AI Consumer Perceptions and Usage Survey conducted in April 2024 among 1,495 adults in the United States, United Kingdom and Indonesia, including TikTok users and non-TikTok respondents. That study context does not establish that AI-made posts will resonate with every audience.
Remix Recycle: adapt creative across formats
Remix Recycle encourages businesses to rework assets and explore combinations of images and video rather than treating each post as an entirely separate production. TikTok reports that 76% of TikTok users enjoy seeing a mix of images and video on TikTok. This figure comes from TikTok Marketing Science’s Global Carousel Images on TikTok Survey, conducted through AYTM in August 2024 with 2,100 TikTok users aged 18 and older. It is a reported preference, not evidence that a carousel or mixed-format post will outperform video for your account.
For a practical test, adapt a useful idea into more than one format, then compare audience responses in your own account. Preserve the substance of the message while changing the presentation to suit the format; avoid reposting material mechanically if it does not make sense in its new context.
Comment to Cart: treat comments as audience feedback
Comment to Cart treats comment sections as a source of audience research and potential product-development input. Look for recurring questions, objections and requests. If a pattern is actionable, consider whether it should inform a product update, service change or new offering—and tell the audience when its feedback influenced a decision.
TikTok reports that 68% of TikTok users say brands should use the comment section to better understand consumers. This is a TikTok Marketing Science Global TikTok Comment Section finding from April 2024, conducted through AYTM in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada. The report cites Rothy’s and Wingstop as examples of brands acting on community feedback; those examples do not guarantee that comment-led product decisions will work for every business.
Quick Recap
How to turn the signals into a practical TikTok plan
- Choose the audience before the trend. Identify the communities and customer questions that matter to your business. Use that focus to select creators and topics, rather than copying a popular format without a clear reason.
- Plan a varied but manageable creator mix. Match creators to relevant niches and allow their perspectives to shape the execution. Set expectations for the message and goals without making every collaboration look identical.
- Build a repeatable publishing rhythm. Combine campaign posts with everyday content your team can sustain. A consistent presence is more aligned with Constant Confidant than relying on isolated launch bursts.
- Invite useful responses and review them. Ask questions that can guide a real conversation. Track recurring questions and requests, decide which ones merit action, and close the loop when feedback changes a decision.
- Test creative variations deliberately. Rework suitable material for image and video formats, and use AI only where it helps with ideation or production. Evaluate results in your own account instead of treating report statistics as a prediction.
- Verify short-lived trends before using them. Check TikTok’s Creative Center Trend Dashboards or Trends Hub for a current sound, hashtag or format, and confirm it suits your audience, market and brand.
