Thor: Love and Thunder is Russell Crowe’s highest-grossing movie, with an estimated $761 million in worldwide theatrical box office. Man of Steel ranks second at about $668 million. The list below ranks ten films with Crowe acting credits by reported worldwide gross, using rounded tracker estimates accessed in 2026.
How this ranking works
These are nominal worldwide theatrical grosses: they are not adjusted for inflation and do not represent domestic-only totals. The figures come primarily from Box Office Watch’s Crowe filmography and are cross-checked against NetflixMovies.com. Both are filmography aggregators, not audited studio statements, and their totals differ for some films. For example, their reported figures put Gladiator at roughly $461 million and $466 million, respectively.

Worldwide gross is the amount reported at the box office, not the share of ticket revenue retained by a studio. It also says nothing by itself about a film’s production and marketing costs or profitability.

Gladiator is Crowe’s highest-ranked older hit
The 2000 film remains third by nominal worldwide gross, despite being released more than two decades before the top-ranked movie. Its position is based on reported lifetime gross, not an inflation-adjusted comparison.
The middle positions are close enough that tracker differences matter
Les Misérables and The Mummy are separated by roughly $33 million in the estimates shown. Further down, Noah and Robin Hood are separated by only about $40 million at the low end of Noah’s reported range. These are rounded estimates, so small differences should not be read as precise accounting.

Published totals may vary because trackers can differ in film-credit inclusion, coverage, gross revisions, and treatment of rereleases. The list cross-checks two aggregators, but that does not reconcile their underlying records or establish a single exact total for each film. The Numbers and Box Office Mojo publish worldwide charts, but the available chart results do not themselves provide a complete Crowe-filmography ranking.
Actor career-total figures are even less directly comparable: Box Office Watch reports $4.20 billion across 28 tracked films, while NetflixMovies.com reports $5.5 billion across 39 of 52 films for which it has a worldwide figure. Those sums cover different film sets, so they should not be treated as competing measurements of the same exact group of movies.
