What “financial value” means in this ranking
Here, “value” means the displayed total market value of a club’s squad, as reported by Transfermarkt. It is not an estimate of a club’s enterprise value, audited net worth, revenue, or balance-sheet value. These figures should therefore be read as a comparison of squads, not a ranking of which clubs were financially strongest or worth the most as businesses.

The 2023/24 League Two season ran from 5 August 2023 to 27 April 2024, with 24 clubs competing. Stockport County won the league; Stockport County, Wrexham, Mansfield Town, and Crawley Town were promoted. Sutton United and Forest Green Rovers were relegated. Those outcomes are separate from squad market value: league position or promotion does not measure a club’s squad value or business finances.
