What was the TANCET 2024 registration deadline?
Anna University’s TANCET-2024 advertisement set January 10, 2024, as the start of registration and February 7, 2024, as the last date to register. That deadline has passed, so the 2024 application portal is not a route to a current application.
The notice invited candidates seeking admission for academic year 2024–2025 to MBA and MCA degree programmes at the listed institutions in Tamil Nadu. Anna University conducted the test on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Which exams were included, and when were they held?
TANCET-2024 covered MBA and MCA admissions. The notice scheduled both examinations for March 9, 2024, in separate sessions:

The same advertisement separately announced CEETA-PG-2024 for M.E., M.Tech., M.Arch. and M.Plan. programmes. CEETA-PG was a distinct examination, not another TANCET programme.
How did the 2024 application process work?
The advertisement instructed candidates to register and pay the entrance-test fee online through the TANCET portal. It stated: “Candidates can register only through online and the Entrance Test fee can be paid only through Online using the link https://tancet.annauniv.edu/tancet.” It also said hall tickets and mark sheets should be downloaded from that portal.
The notice listed these fees for each of the TANCET-MBA and TANCET-MCA examinations:

These are the amounts in the 2024 notice only; they should not be treated as current-cycle fees.
What did the portal tell applicants about registration details?
The 2024 portal warned applicants that communications would be sent only to the email address used for registration and that completed registration details could not be changed. The warning included details such as email address, mobile number and exam choice. These were instructions for the 2024 application process, not confirmation of rules for a later cycle.
The notice also said candidates from other states could appear for TANCET, while eligibility for admission would be determined by the admitting authority or university. Appearing for the test did not, by itself, establish admission eligibility.

Use the official Anna University notice and portal for the specific examination cycle you intend to apply for. The university’s Centre for Entrance Examinations page displayed TANCET 2026 information when checked on October 8, 2026; that confirms 2024 is not the active cycle, but it does not establish an application deadline for any later year. Check the current notice for dates, fees, eligibility and portal status before applying.
