A January 14, 2025, GeekWire roundup reported new leadership at Smartsheet, Zillow Group and Zenoti, alongside hires, board appointments and other changes across Pacific Northwest technology and nonprofit organizations. The report is a dated snapshot; it does not establish whether the people named still hold those roles today.
Who joined Smartsheet, Zillow and Zenoti?
| Organization | Appointment | Reported scope and relevant background |
|---|---|---|
| Smartsheet | Eva Schoenleitner, vice president of partner | Her background included serving as CEO of Crate.io, group vice president of digital partnerships at ABB, and 11 years at Microsoft, including a senior director role in the Windows business unit. Smartsheet SVP Steve Quinn said her experience would help strengthen and expand the company’s partner ecosystem. |
| Zillow Group | Zuhairah Washington, senior vice president of market operations and Flex general manager | She was to lead Flex, Zillow’s program supporting real estate agents who work with home buyers. Her reported previous roles included CEO of Otrium, global head of strategic partners at Expedia Group, and general manager positions at Uber. |
| Zenoti | Sean Blitchok, chief financial officer; Doug Sechrist, senior vice president of marketing | Blitchok joined from MeridianLink and had earlier leadership roles at Salesforce and Hewlett-Packard. Sechrist had been chief marketer at CB Insights. GeekWire described Zenoti as a Seattle-area enterprise-software provider for spas, salons and other wellness businesses. |
GeekWire’s January 14, 2025 report said Smartsheet was preparing to go private again in an $8.4 billion deal announced by Vista Equity Partners and Blackstone, which was expected to close by the end of that January. That was the report’s expectation at the time, not confirmation of the deal’s eventual completion. The article also described Zenoti’s software as serving more than 30,000 businesses; that figure is the article’s company-context description, not an independently verified statistic.
What other leadership changes did the roundup report?
Technology companies and startups
- Meta: Stephen Konig joined as a Seattle-based director of product management, leading work on Horizon OS, which GeekWire described as providing apps for Meta’s virtual- and augmented-reality devices. Konig had been CEO of Mudita Studios and spent nearly 12 years at Google. He described leaving Mudita as “bittersweet” and said the opportunity to work on “the next computing platform” was one he could not pass up.
- Auger: The Bellevue supply-chain technology startup hired engineers Sachi Patel, Debakar Shamanta and J. Craig Lewis from Amazon. GeekWire described Auger as founded by former Amazon Worldwide Consumer CEO Dave Clark and reported that it had announced a $100 million Series A in October 2024.

- A-Alpha Bio: Drew Duglan joined as director of scientific communications. The article also cited a prior $14.5 million Department of Defense award to the company.
- Kymeta: James Geurts and Elizabeth Kimber joined the board of advisors. GeekWire described the Redmond company as building panel antenna technology for satellite communications.

- Path with Art: James Miles joined as chief strategic officer.
- Life Science Washington Institute: Richard Giersch stepped down as president and executive director, became a consultant with the institute, and also began working at Life Science Works.
- Pacific Northwest National Laboratory: Geochemist Kevin Rosso was named a Battelle Fellow. GeekWire reported that the distinction is awarded to less than 0.5% of PNNL scientists.
- Ada Developers Academy: Matt Medlin joined the board of the nonprofit, which GeekWire described as training underrepresented people in tech for software-development careers.
