What the original report alleged
On December 5, 2025, Parade summarized a Page Six report claiming Swift paid a bride to move a June 13, 2026 wedding booking at Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. The Economic Times also covered the allegation on December 8, 2025, while noting that the couple had not officially confirmed wedding plans at that point.
Those reports describe an allegation, not a documented transaction. The available sources do not establish that Swift made an offer, that a bride accepted one, or that Swift and Travis Kelce had booked Ocean House.
What Ocean House said
Parade quoted an Ocean House spokesperson denying that the resort would permit a buyout of a contracted wedding group: “Ocean House would not and is not allowing another party or entity to buy a wedding group out of a contracted wedding date.” The Economic Times also reproduced the venue’s denial.

The venue did not confirm Swift and Kelce’s plans. Parade reported that Ocean House said couples could confirm their own wedding location; that is not confirmation of a booking or of the alleged payment.

No amount is reported in the available coverage. The bride’s identity is also not established. “A fortune” is a headline characterization, not a documented price or payment figure.

What later coverage says about the wedding
In a page updated July 7, 2026, The Knot reported that Swift and Kelce married at Madison Square Garden on July 3, 2026. It describes the June 13 Ocean House date as early speculation, rather than the eventual date and venue. This is The Knot’s later account; the sources available here do not include independent primary-source verification of those wedding details.
