Netflix’s reported 2026 US price increase is a change to Netflix subscription pricing, not a separately verified increase to T-Mobile wireless-plan rates. Whether it changes what you pay through T-Mobile depends on whether you use the included Standard with ads benefit or pay to upgrade to another Netflix tier.
Was there a separate T-Mobile Netflix price hike?
The available announcements do not establish a new, separate T-Mobile price increase for Netflix. T-Mobile’s January 14, 2022 newsroom statement addressed a Netflix price change at that time and said the included Netflix benefit remained covered; customers who had upgraded to Standard or Premium would see the Netflix price change on their T-Mobile bill. That is a historical statement, not an October 2026 announcement. T-Mobile’s 2022 statement said, “Rest assured, your Netflix is still on us!”
In March 2026, TechCrunch reported new US Netflix monthly prices: $8.99 for Standard with ads, $19.99 for Standard without ads, and $26.99 for Premium. These are Netflix subscription prices, not proof of a T-Mobile wireless-plan rate increase. Netflix said new subscribers saw the prices from March 26, while existing subscribers would be notified a month before the new prices applied over the following months. TechCrunch’s report
What does the Netflix price change mean for T-Mobile customers?
T-Mobile says Standard with ads is included on specified qualifying plans. Customers who choose a higher Netflix tier pay the price difference or applicable discounted tier price through T-Mobile. Your actual charge depends on your eligibility, selected tier, and current plan terms; check the offer displayed in your T-Mobile account and your bill rather than assuming the same amount applies to every customer. The amounts in the table are Netflix US prices reported by TechCrunch in March 2026, not a promise of your T-Mobile bill amount. T-Mobile says the bill can show “Netflix Discount” alongside the charge and discount amount. Check the current account offer for the specific price difference or discount on your line.
Which T-Mobile plans include Netflix?
T-Mobile’s offer page lists Experience More, Experience Beyond, Go5G, Go5G Next, Go5G Plus, and Magenta MAX, along with certain two-or-more-line Go5G or Magenta plans and specified 55+, Military, First Responder, and Student variants. How to check or change Netflix through T-Mobile
- Open the T-Life app or sign in at T-Mobile.com.
- Find Netflix under add-ons or services and review the benefit and any available tier upgrade price for your account.
- To use the included benefit, complete activation by linking your Netflix account when prompted.
- Review the T-Mobile bill for the Netflix charge and discount. T-Mobile says billing may take one to two billing cycles to appear after activation.
If you remove Netflix through T-Mobile, T-Mobile stops being the payment method. To continue the Netflix membership, you may need to add another payment method with Netflix. T-Mobile’s activation and billing instructions
Why is Netflix on my T-Mobile bill?
A Netflix line on the bill can reflect a paid upgrade rather than a charge for the included tier alone. T-Mobile says customers who select a higher tier are responsible for the price difference, and the bill identifies the charge alongside the Netflix discount. Compare the bill with the tier and price shown in your T-Mobile account; the exact amount is account-specific.

Is there evidence that users are “furious”?
The cited sources establish pricing and billing details, but they do not establish how widespread customer anger is. Individual reactions online cannot show that users generally are furious, so that characterization should not be treated as a measured finding.
