Super Mario Party Jamboree debuted at No. 1 in the UK physical and retail software chart for the week ending 19 October 2024, pushing EA Sports FC 25 to No. 2. That is a weekly chart result, not proof that Jamboree sold more across the whole month, year or every sales channel.
What the UK chart showed
The chart table published by Push Square on 21 October listed Super Mario Party Jamboree first and EA Sports FC 25 second for the week ending 19 October 2024. The next three places were Hogwarts Legacy, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Push Square described its figures as physical sales only: Push Square’s UK chart report.
Nintendo Life’s 23 October report also put Jamboree first and FC 25 second, identifying the chart as compiled by GfK. It noted FC 25 had led the chart for the previous three weeks: Nintendo Life’s chart coverage.
What the 35% comparison means
Nintendo Everything reported that Jamboree’s first-week physical sales were 35% higher than the physical launch sales of Mario Party Superstars. This is a relative comparison between the two games’ physical launches, not an absolute unit count. The report gives no number of copies sold in the UK: Nintendo Everything’s weekly chart report.

Because the figures concern physical sales, they do not establish how the games ranked when digital purchases are included. A position on a retail chart is useful evidence about that chart’s measured sales, not a complete tally of every transaction.

A weekly debut, a monthly ranking and a full-year ranking measure different periods. Nintendo Everything’s October 2024 monthly chart recap placed Jamboree ninth and FC 25 second. It also noted that Nintendo digital data was not included in the figures discussed, so the monthly result should not be treated as a digital-inclusive ranking: Nintendo Everything’s October chart recap.

GfK Entertainment’s report on European game sales for 2024 listed FC 25 as the UK’s top-selling game for the full year: GfK Entertainment’s 2024 annual chart report. That annual result does not contradict Jamboree taking the top spot for its launch week; it covers a much longer period.

How to read the headline accurately
- Period: Jamboree beat FC 25 in the UK chart for the week ending 19 October 2024.
- Coverage: The reports describe a physical or retail software chart, not a ranking proven to include every digital sale.
- Sales total: The cited reports provide a 35% comparison with Mario Party Superstars, but no absolute UK launch-week unit figure for Jamboree.
