SoundCloud’s February 2025 partnership with Ticketmaster gives artists an event-discovery channel and an integrated way to create and sell tickets through Universe. Artists on SoundCloud Artist Pro can start events from their profile; fans can discover listings on artist profiles or SoundCloud’s homepage and then follow a link to Ticketmaster or Universe to buy.
What the partnership does
Ticketmaster announced the partnership on 25 February 2025. It combines SoundCloud event discovery with Ticketmaster’s event data and Universe, Ticketmaster’s self-serve platform for general-admission events. SoundCloud says the Universe integration enables Artist Pro artists to create and sell tickets for live events from SoundCloud. Ticketmaster’s announcement and the SoundCloud Help Center description explain the arrangement.
That does not mean every event shown on SoundCloud must be created in Universe. The integrated event-creation and ticket-selling route is Universe, while events hosted elsewhere may also be linked or surfaced.
How artists can add events
- Use an Artist Pro account. SoundCloud’s setup documentation describes the integration for Artist Pro artists.
- Start from the artist profile. Open the On Tour widget on the profile and use it to begin creating an event.
- Complete event setup in Universe. Universe handles the event-management and ticket-selling functions described in its guide. SoundCloud provides the profile and discovery surfaces; it is not a substitute for the event-hosting workflow. See the SoundCloud Artist Portal and Universe setup guide.
For an event hosted on another ticketing service, artists may be able to add or select an event link instead. TechCrunch reported that SoundCloud can draw event information from other platforms, including Dice, and let artists choose events or add links to other ticketing services. The official materials do not give an exhaustive provider list or spell out the rules for every outside service.

Where fans find events and buy tickets
Artist profiles
Fans can find event information on an artist’s SoundCloud profile and follow the ticket link to complete a purchase through Ticketmaster or Universe.

Ticketmaster says SoundCloud’s homepage can recommend events using Ticketmaster event data. Fans can sort recommendations by city, time, and genre. A homepage recommendation is a discovery feature, not the ticket purchase itself: the fan follows a link to the relevant ticketing destination.

TechCrunch reported that SoundCloud takes an unspecified cut from affiliate ticket sales made through Ticketmaster links. The report gives no percentage and does not establish that the same terms apply to Universe sales. Treat any expected net proceeds as uncertain until the relevant terms are clear for the specific event and destination.

That is a platform-level program; its materials do not establish an affiliate program or commission arrangement for individual artists.
