Steam held its first Black Friday sale from November 25 through December 1, 2025. The promotion covered thousands of games and included a discount on the Steam Deck 256GB LCD. It has ended, so the prices below are historical—not offers available now.
When did Steam’s first Black Friday sale end?
The promotion ran from November 25 to December 1, 2025, according to TechRadar’s November 25, 2025 report and PC Gamer’s November 24, 2025 coverage. It was Steam’s first Black Friday sale, not its first sale of any kind. The separate 2025 Steam Winter Sale began December 18, PC Gamer reported.
Which games were discounted?
The promotion spanned thousands of games across genres. The following are examples reported by TechRadar; they describe the 2025 sale and should not be read as current prices.

|---|---|---|
| Battlefield 6 | 15% off | TechRadar reported a reduction from $70 to $59.49. |
| Blue Prince | 34% off | TechRadar reported a reduction from $29.99 to $19.79. |

PC Gamer also reported Battlefield 6 at 15% off. Discounted prices and availability can vary by store region; the figures above reflect the outlets’ reporting, not a current price feed or a Valve-verified dataset.

Yes. Both outlets reported a 20% discount on the Steam Deck 256GB LCD during the promotion. TechRadar quoted $319.20 in the US, £279.20 in the UK, and AU$519.20 in Australia. PC Gamer quoted $319 and £279 for its reported US and UK prices. These are different outlet-reported figures and regional contexts, not current prices.
How to use these old sale prices when budgeting
A past discount can help explain what was offered during this event, but it cannot tell you what a game or handheld costs today. Check the listing for your own Steam store region before budgeting or buying, and compare the displayed price and edition rather than assuming the 2025 reduction will recur. Steam’s Winter Sale was a distinct event, not an extension of this Black Friday promotion.
