Southwest’s flight-deals page lists an offer of up to 40% off select base fares—not a current offer explicitly described as 30% off. The page says to book by October 8, 2026, for eligible travel from October 26, 2026, through March 3, 2027. Because the stated booking deadline is today, check Southwest’s live page and your exact itinerary before relying on the offer.
What the advertised discount covers
Southwest describes the promotion as up to 40% off the base fare on select flights. That does not mean every fare component or the final trip total is discounted by 40%: Southwest says savings are calculated before government taxes and fees. The discount is described as automatic, so the live offer page does not say a promo code is needed for this deal. See Southwest’s flight-deals page.
Booking and travel dates
- Stated booking deadline: October 8, 2026. The retrieved offer text does not state a cutoff hour or time zone.
- Stated travel window: October 26, 2026, through March 3, 2027.
- Eligibility: Select flights only. Southwest’s page does not list every eligible itinerary in the available offer text.
These dates and terms reflect Southwest’s flight-deals page as accessed October 8, 2026. Since the booking deadline falls on that date, availability may change or the offer may end; confirm the terms on the live page.
How to check whether your flight qualifies
- Open Southwest’s flight-deals page and review the offer terms.
- Search your actual origin, destination, and travel dates. Compare the fare and total price shown for the itinerary; the sale’s percentage applies to the base fare, while taxes and fees are additional.
- Use Southwest’s Low Fare Calendar to compare eligible fares across dates and markets. Southwest cautions that sale fares may not be available on every route, flight, or date and can sell out. Its flight-sale guidance also notes that some other promotions require a code or apply only to new reservations.
Is this the same as Southwest’s Week of WOW?
No. Southwest announced a separate Week of WOW campaign on September 14, 2026, with its own booking period: September 14–17 for select flights traveling October 5, 2026, through March 3, 2027. That announcement also described separate hotel, rental-car, and vacation-package promotions.
