That exact claim is not established by the available sources. DealNews coverage describes up to 74% off select Walmart Presidents’ Day office furniture and up to 70% off home-improvement deals; the search results do not supply publication dates. Neither figure verifies a current 72%-off promotion. Forbes Vetted’s 2024 roundup gives a historical example of a Yangming 3-inch queen gel memory-foam mattress topper at 72% off, but that past listing does not confirm a current offer.

How to check whether a Walmart discount is worthwhile
- Open the live product listing. Confirm that the item is available and note the date you checked it.
- Record the actual price and comparison price. Check how Walmart presents any former or comparison price and calculate the reduction from those displayed figures. Do not carry over a discount from old coverage.
