What figures are available for the three players?
These figures come from different seasons and records. A market-value estimate is not the same as a bid or a completed transfer fee.

The Football Association’s 2023–24 agent-transactions register records Souza and Hamer as permanent transfers in at Sheffield United, but does not state their fees.
Why these numbers do not establish an AI valuation
Market value, bid and fee answer different questions
A database market-value listing is an estimate of a player’s value at a particular point in time. A bid is an offer made by a buying club, while a transfer fee is the amount reported for a completed move. The difference is visible in Ahmedhodzic’s records: the Transfermarkt listing shows a €6.90m fee alongside an €18.00m market value, while the separate press report concerns a £15.6m bid. Those figures should not be merged into a single “worth” number.

The available AI paper is about a method, not these players
A January 2024 arXiv preprint, Performance Insights-based AI-driven Football Transfer Fee Prediction, describes an approach using player performance, transfer fees and other factors. Its abstract discusses the general method; it does not provide a prediction for Hamer, Souza or Ahmedhodzic. None of the figures above is an output attributed to that paper or to another named AI model.
What would be needed for a credible AI estimate?
A useful model output would need to identify the model and its method, state the date of the estimate, specify the currency and distinguish a predicted transfer fee from a market-value estimate. It would also need relevant player-level inputs, such as performance data, age, contract duration and role, with the assumptions and uncertainty made clear.

The available figures do not provide a shared AI output or enough player-level inputs for a robust like-for-like estimate. Comparing a historical listing for Hamer with later transfer records for Souza and Ahmedhodzic would also mix different dates and measures.

The €16.00m figure is from Transfermarkt’s Sheffield United 2024–25 club profile. It is historical evidence only: it does not establish Hamer’s current value in October 2026, his current transfer status, or what an AI model would predict.

Two distinct records are available: Transfermarkt listed a €15.00m market value on Sheffield United’s 2024–25 profile, and its 2025–26 transfer listing records his Wolfsburg move at €15.00m. The matching amounts do not make the measures interchangeable, and the fee is a database-reported figure rather than an official fee disclosed in the accessible club announcement.
Anel Ahmedhodzic
His records illustrate why context matters: the 2024–25 Sheffield United profile listed a €6.00m market value; the detailed 2025–26 Feyenoord listing gives a €6.90m transfer fee and displays an €18.00m market value; and the BBC reported a £15.6m bid on 4 August 2025. These are separate figures from different records and contexts, not three AI estimates.
