The Staff Selection Commission accepted applications from 8 April through 7 May 2024, with submissions due by 23:00 on 7 May. The old “apply now” alert is no longer current; check SSC’s official website for notices about any later cycle.
SSC CHSL 2024 application dates
The Staff Selection Commission’s 2024 notice set separate deadlines for submitting an application, paying the fee, and correcting an application. The times below are as printed by SSC; the notice gives 23:00 without a separate time-zone label.
| Action | Deadline or window | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Submit an application | 7 May 2024, 23:00 | The application-submission cutoff; the application period ran from 8 April to 7 May 2024. |
| Pay the application fee online | 8 May 2024, 23:00 | A later cutoff for online fee payment, not an extension of the application-submission deadline. |
| Correct an application and pay any online correction charge | 10–11 May 2024, through 23:00 | The correction window followed the application and fee deadlines. |
These dates come from the SSC CHSL 2024 notice. Its tentative schedule listed Tier I for June–July 2024 and said the Tier II schedule would be notified later; those were the original planned entries, not confirmation of when either exam ultimately took place.

How to check for a later SSC CHSL cycle
The 2024 application link is not a route to apply today. For a later cycle, start with SSC’s official website and confirm that the relevant examination notice is current and accepting applications before acting on an apply-now message. The Commission’s FAQ says One-Time Registration is mandatory before applying to Commission examinations.
SSC’s 2024 notice advised candidates to submit applications well before the closing date rather than wait until the last day, citing the possibility of disconnection or difficulty logging in when the site is under heavy load.
