Scricco would become CEO on July 1. Stephen P. Kaufman would leave the CEO role but remain chairman, according to a contemporary EE Times report published May 10, 2000. This is a historical succession, not a description of Arrow’s current leadership.
When did Fran Scricco become Arrow’s CEO?
The announcement was reported on May 10, 2000, and set July 1, 2000, as the effective date. Scricco, then Arrow’s president and COO, was named to succeed Kaufman as CEO.
Did Stephen Kaufman leave Arrow?
No. Kaufman was to step down as CEO while continuing as chairman. The change separated the company’s chief executive role from its chairmanship; it was not described as his departure from Arrow.

The EE Times account linked the appointment to Scricco’s strategic and operational work at Arrow. Kaufman said Scricco had been integral to designing and executing the company’s strategy for the previous three years, and praised his leadership of a North American realignment toward a customer-focused structure.
