The SSC MTS/Havaldar correction window in the headline opened on August 16, 2024, and closed on August 17, 2024. It applied to the 2024 examination cycle and is no longer open. The headline is historical, not a current alert. For another cycle, follow that cycle’s official SSC notice.

Which SSC MTS/Havaldar correction window did the headline refer to?

The headline appeared on August 16, 2024, and concerned the Staff Selection Commission’s Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2024. SSC set the application correction period for August 16–17, 2024. The period has expired.

SSC’s official website is ssc.gov.in. Use the notice for your specific examination cycle rather than relying on an old “opens today” headline.

What were the 2024 correction rules and fees?

Under SSC’s 2024 examination notice, only candidates whose completed applications and required fees had been received within the specified period could use the correction facility. Candidates could correct and resubmit their applications twice during the window.

Correction attempt Charge under the 2024 notice
First correction ₹200
Second correction ₹500

The charges were payable online and were non-refundable. These figures and rules are specific to the 2024 notice; they should not be assumed to apply to a later cycle.

What happened in the 2025 cycle?

SSC initially announced a correction window of July 29–31, 2025, then amended it to August 4–6, 2025. The amended dates superseded the original dates.

Examination cycle Correction window Status
2024 August 16–17, 2024 Expired
2025 August 4–6, 2025, amended from July 29–31, 2025 Expired

Is an SSC MTS/Havaldar correction window open now?

As of October 8, 2026, SSC’s observed notice board showed current October 2026 notices and a notice about an additional result for the 2025 MTS/Havaldar examination, but no MTS/Havaldar correction window opening that day. Check the official SSC website for any later notice relevant to your cycle.

What if you missed the correction deadline?

SSC’s 2024 notice said requests received after that cycle’s correction window—whether by post, fax, email, by hand, or another mode of communication—would not be entertained. That restriction is stated for the 2024 notice; consult the applicable notice for any other cycle.
