How to check the SSC Stenographer 2024 final result
-
Open the official SSC final-result write-up. This link opens the Commission’s PDF, not a third-party copy.
-
Use the PDF’s search function to look for your roll number or name. On a computer, press Ctrl+F (Windows) or Command+F (Mac); on a phone, use the PDF viewer’s search tool.
-
Check the relevant selection table and note any post or department allocation details. The write-up uses post and department codes, so consult its tables rather than relying on a summary of category totals.

SSC reports that 215 Grade C candidates and 1,908 Grade D candidates were recommended.
-
A total of 15,372 candidates submitted their option-cum-preference online and were considered for further selection.
The qualifying figures relate to the computer-based examination result declared on 5 March 2025; the figures who appeared and were recommended are reported in SSC’s final-result write-up dated 11 July 2025. See the official write-up and its tables for the underlying result details.
Does “recommended” mean you have been appointed?
No. SSC describes the selection as provisional and subject to document verification by the user departments. The departments handle document verification and appointment formalities, so a recommendation in the result is not itself confirmation of appointment. SSC’s write-up states: “The selection of candidates is purely provisional and it will be subject to their qualifying in document verification to be conducted by the user departments.”
SSC also states: “No Reserve List/ Waiting List is prepared by the Commission.”

The final-result write-up said detailed marks would be made available shortly. Whether candidate-level marks or response sheets remain accessible as of 8 October 2026 has not been confirmed. Check SSC’s current official website or your registered candidate login for any available individual information; do not assume a marks window is still open.
Skill-test context
For context, SSC’s Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2024 notice describes a skill test consisting of a 10-minute dictation in the candidate’s chosen English or Hindi medium, followed by transcription on a computer. The dictation speed is 100 words per minute for Grade C and 80 words per minute for Grade D. Transcription time varies by grade and language.
