SBI’s 2025-26 Probationary Officers recruitment notice listed the Mains online examination as tentatively scheduled for 13 September 2025. It said Mains-qualified candidates could download a call letter from the Bank’s website tentatively from 10 days before the examination. As of 8 October 2026, both dates are in the past: this is a historical update, not an alert for an upcoming exam. The official pages cited here do not establish whether SBI later changed the date or when the Mains examination actually took place.
What date did SBI announce for PO Mains 2025?
SBI’s Recruitment Results page for Probationary Officers advertisement CRPD/PO/2025-26/04 said: “MAIN EXAMINATION (ONLINE) IS TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED ON 13TH SEPTEMBER 2025.” The word tentatively matters: the page establishes the announced schedule, not confirmation that the examination was held that day. SBI’s official preliminary-result page identifies the same recruitment advertisement and says the preliminary examination was held on 4 and 5 August 2025. That confirms the sequence of the recruitment stages, but it does not confirm the eventual Mains date. Check SBI’s recruitment listing.
Was the SBI PO Mains call letter released, and when?
SBI’s detailed advertisement said candidates who qualified for Mains could download the call letter from the Bank’s website by following the on-screen instructions. It described availability as tentative, from 10 days before the examination. The notice therefore gave an approximate lead time, not a specific publication date. SBI’s Careers listing contains an online examination call-letter download entry for the 2025-26 PO recruitment, but the official page text reviewed does not date when the Mains call letter was published. The official material establishes that SBI announced 13 September 2025 as the tentative Mains date. It does not establish whether SBI revised that schedule or the date on which the Mains examination actually took place. Do not treat the advertised date as a confirmed held date without a dated official confirmation.
Where should candidates check SBI call letters and notices?
Use SBI’s official Careers pages to verify recruitment notices and call-letter links: SBI Careers. SBI says recruitment details such as notices, interview schedules and final results are published through its careers sites. It also warns about fake selection letters and lists; shortlisted or selected candidates are informed individually by SMS, email or post. Avoid unofficial download links and do not rely on a message or letter claiming selection unless it can be verified through SBI’s official channels.

For the 2025 Mains cycle, SBI’s detailed notice instructed candidates to bring the authenticated Preliminary examination call letter with authenticated ID proof, as well as the Mains call letter. It also specified two additional photographs matching the one pasted on the call letter, along with other documents listed in the call letter or the “Acquaint Yourself” booklet. These were instructions for that recruitment cycle; candidates in another cycle should follow the current call letter and notice instead.
