The application windows for Rajasthan Public Service Commission’s Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) recruitment under advertisement 09/2024-25 are closed. The original deadline was September 10, 2024; RPSC later reopened applications from July 30 to August 13, 2025 after increasing non-scheduled-area vacancies. Which RPSC ASO recruitment does this cover?
This is the Assistant Statistical Officer recruitment for Rajasthan’s Economic and Statistics Department, advertised as 09/2024-25. It is distinct from any later RPSC recruitment that may use a similar post title. Scroll reported 43 vacancies in its August 2024 coverage. Scroll.in’s original report gave the first application deadline as September 10, 2024.
RPSC subsequently issued a notice dated July 28, 2025 reopening applications for this advertisement. The notice said the original 43 posts comprised 31 non-scheduled-area and 12 scheduled-area posts, and that non-scheduled-area vacancies had increased by more than 50%. It referred candidates to corrigendum 06/2025-26 for the revised category-wise classification and related information. RPSC’s official website is the commission’s source for that notice and recruitment updates.

What eligibility was reported?
Scroll’s 2024 report described the following age and education criteria. Because the detailed official notification and the later corrigendum govern the recruitment, candidates should not treat this summary as a substitute for those documents—particularly for category-specific terms or amendments.
Age
The reported age range was 21 to 40 years as of January 1, 2025, with upper-age relaxation for reserved categories. The available account does not establish the precise relaxation for each category.

Education
The reported qualification was at least a second-class master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Commerce from a recognized university established by law in India. The alternative described was a master’s degree in one of those subjects plus a one-year diploma in Statistics.
What fees were reported?
For the original 2024 application, Scroll reported a fee of Rs 600 for General/Unreserved candidates and Rs 400 for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other reserved-category candidates. The extracted text of RPSC’s 2025 reopening notice does not establish whether the fee amounts or category rules changed for the reopened window. For any historical application or fee question, consult corrigendum 06/2025-26 and the official recruitment documents rather than assuming the original figures applied unchanged.
How did the online application process work?
These are historical steps for the closed application windows. RPSC’s 2025 notice directed candidates to its Apply Online route or the Rajasthan SSO portal. From SSO, the stated route was Citizen Apps (G2C), then Recruitment Portal, followed by One Time Registration (OTR). - Open the RPSC Apply Online link or sign in to the Rajasthan SSO portal.
- In SSO, select Citizen Apps (G2C), then Recruitment Portal, and complete One Time Registration if required.
- Find the ASO recruitment under advertisement 09/2024-25 and sign in to the recruitment portal.
- Complete the application form and upload the required documents.
- Pay the fee shown for the applicable category, submit the application, and retain a printout for your records.
Portal labels and recruitment details can change over time. Since this advertisement’s application windows have ended, do not submit personal information or payment through a page unless RPSC confirms that it is an official, currently active recruitment.

Where should candidates verify amended terms?
Use the RPSC advertisement and its corrigenda for exact qualifications, category relaxations, vacancy distribution, fee rules, syllabus and selection stages. In particular, the 2025 reopening notice points to corrigendum 06/2025-26 for revised category-wise classification and related information. The summary published by Scroll is useful for the original application details, but it does not establish whether those terms were amended later.
