Pakistani streaming startup Myco was named one of seven finalists in Meet the Drapers’ 2025 finale. Myco founder Umair Masoom Usmani said the company received more than 100,000 audience votes and was the most-voted startup globally, but the sources available do not independently verify that tally. Being a finalist or leading the audience vote is not the same as winning the season’s investment award.
How did Myco reach the Meet the Drapers finale?
Myco’s finale listing, published April 18, 2025, names it among seven finalists: Failsafe, Reaction Dynamics, CrossCurve, Investbanq, WeWalk, Basepair and Myco. The listing describes the finale as a competition for a Draper investment. Myco’s finale listing confirms its finalist status; it does not establish that Myco won.
The show’s format includes public voting. Its official format page says the three companies with the most votes have an opportunity to pitch in the season finale, and describes investments for first-, second- and third-place finishers. Those are the show’s stated prize terms, not evidence that Myco received any particular prize. Meet the Drapers’ format explains the voting and finale structure.
What Myco says its product does
In its Karachi episode description, Myco presents itself as a service for streaming live sports, news and movies while users earn rewards. That is the company’s description of its product, not independent evidence about its performance or the availability of any particular stream. Myco’s episode page provides the description.

What is known about Myco’s audience votes?
Usmani said Myco received more than 100,000 votes and described it as the most-voted startup globally. In an earlier post, he also reported more than one million views for episodes on Myco. These are founder-reported figures; the sources reviewed do not provide an independently audited vote count or view total. Usmani’s 2025 post and his earlier post contain those claims.
The evidence therefore supports two distinct statements: Myco was listed as a finalist, and its founder said it led the global audience vote. It does not support treating the vote claim as a verified result or equating audience popularity with winning an investment award.

What happened after Myco made the finale?
Usmani later reported that, after due diligence, Myco received investment funding from Draper and an advance payment for the first year of a SaaS and technology project to build, operate and manage Draper TV. He also stated a total value in Pakistani rupees. These are reported by the founder; the available sources do not independently confirm the amounts, contract terms or payment. The reported project is a business partnership outcome, not proof that Myco received the show’s advertised winner prize. Usmani’s 2025 post describes the outcome.

| Claim | What the available evidence establishes |
|---|---|
| Finalist status | Myco appears among seven finalists on its finale listing, published April 18, 2025. |
| Audience-vote lead | Usmani reported more than 100,000 votes and a global lead; no independently audited tally is established by the sources reviewed. |
| Season win or prize | Finalist status and a reported vote lead do not establish that Myco won the season or received the advertised winner award. |
| Post-finale funding and project | Usmani reported investment funding and an advance payment for a Draper TV technology project; the terms and value are not independently confirmed. |
Meet the Drapers’ official site describes the show and its format. The documented milestone is Myco’s finalist listing; the vote and post-finale financial claims should remain attributed to its founder.
