This is a closed recruitment, not an open application opportunity. Applications for the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Agriculture Department recruitment ran from 21 October to 19 November 2024. RPSC later identified the underlying notice as Advertisement 17/2024-25, issued on 16 October 2024. The recruitment was reported to cover 241 vacancies across several agriculture-related roles.
What the 2024 recruitment covered
The recruitment was for 241 posts in Rajasthan’s Agriculture Department. Reported role families included Assistant Agriculture Officer, Statistical Officer, Agriculture Research Officer and Assistant Agriculture Research Officer. The total and role families were reported in contemporaneous coverage; the full post-wise allocation is not reproduced here.
The application window opened on 21 October 2024 and closed on 19 November 2024. Those dates have passed, so candidates cannot use this notice to apply now.
What the exam scheme specified
In a corrigendum dated 26 May 2025 for the 2024 recruitment exam, RPSC set out a two-paper scheme:

The corrigendum also says: “For every wrong answer one-third of the marks prescribed for that particular question shall be deducted.” This is the stated penalty for an incorrect response.
How to use the syllabus for preparation
RPSC’s syllabus index lists subjects for the Agriculture Department Exam 2024. The Agronomy syllabus illustrates the two distinct preparation areas: Rajasthan general knowledge and agriculture content in the concerned-subject paper. Since the scheme assigns 110 marks to the concerned subject and the specific syllabus depends on the post, candidates should use the syllabus that matches their role rather than assume every post uses one identical agriculture paper.

Answer-sheet instructions
RPSC’s exam instructions direct candidates to mark the answer sheet using a blue ballpoint pen. They also require a response option for every question; for a question not attempted, the instruction says to darken the designated option. Candidates should read the official instructions for the applicable exam carefully before filling in a response sheet.
