PhonePe referrals do not guarantee a reward just because you share an invite link. A referral qualifies only when the invited person completes every action required by that specific PhonePe Earn task, within its deadline, and PhonePe or its partner confirms eligibility. Check the offer’s current terms in your app before inviting anyone: requirements, reward amounts, and redemption rules can vary and change.
What PhonePe refer and earn means
PhonePe calls its referral and participation feature “PhonePe Earn.” PhonePe’s PhonePe Earn User Terms and Conditions describe digital tasks that may include app referrals, online surveys, or other participation offered for PhonePe clients or third-party partners.

There is no single set of actions or payout established for every referral. The terms say a referral becomes a “Qualified Referral” only after the invited person satisfactorily completes all actions specified for that task and its related terms. Those actions might include installing an app and then registering, subscribing, or using a service within a stated time.
How to check and complete a referral
Because the available task and app navigation can vary, use the offer displayed in your PhonePe app as the authority rather than relying on a universal set of steps. Before sharing an invite, read the task and any linked terms from start to finish.

- Review the task in PhonePe Earn. Note the invitee requirements, any new-user or prior-transaction restrictions, the deadline, and the stated reward.
- Check the associated terms. Confirm what counts as completion, whether additional actions are required after installation or registration, and how the reward may be verified, delivered, or redeemed.
- Invite an eligible person. Follow the task’s sharing instructions. If it asks you to submit the person’s contact information or other details, obtain their prior consent before providing it.
- Have the invitee complete every required action on time. Sharing a link or installing an app alone may not be enough.
- Wait for confirmation and check the task’s status. Eligibility depends on PhonePe or the partner confirming successful completion; verification may be required.
How much can you earn?
The current public terms do not establish one universal referral reward amount or confirm that a campaign is available to every user. Use the amount shown for the specific task in your app, and do not assume that a value shown in an old article, video, or screenshot is still offered.
PhonePe’s terms set a combined maximum of INR 9,999 per user per financial year for surveys and referrals undertaken for PhonePe and its affiliates. This is a ceiling under the published terms, not a promised earning: available tasks and successful qualification determine whether a user earns anything. The terms also say that repeated purchases or repeated use of a partner’s service by the referred person do not earn additional referral rewards.

A historical PhonePe offer illustrates why dates matter: its Refer and Earn offer terms described a ₹75 referrer reward for an invited user’s first qualifying UPI transaction, but the offer was valid only from November 27 through December 20, 2017. It is expired and does not establish a current payout or current qualifying steps.
When a reward is—and is not—payable
Completing the listed actions does not necessarily mean a reward is immediately paid. Under PhonePe’s terms, a user becomes eligible only after PhonePe or the partner notifies them on the platform or confirms successful completion in writing. PhonePe or the partner may verify participation, delay or cancel rewards, and determine the reward’s form and delivery method. A task may also require mobile-number verification or KYC documents.

- Use your Visa Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, including online.
Do not treat reward timing, redemption, or availability as guaranteed across tasks. PhonePe’s terms allow it to amend task rules and change reward amounts, redemption methods, voucher expiry, or maximum rewards, and to cancel, modify, terminate, or suspend a task or reward. Check the task details and linked terms immediately before participating.
Who can participate, and what conduct is prohibited?
PhonePe’s terms require a participant to be at least 18 and capable of entering a legal agreement. A referrer must be a PhonePe user and refer a real person, not themself. Both the referrer and invitee should understand what information a task requests: PhonePe’s terms say participation may involve personal information and that either person may receive communications from PhonePe or the partner about the task.

The terms prohibit:
- Creating multiple or fake accounts or referring yourself.
- Using a false identity or misleading information.
- Sending spam or unsolicited email.
- Submitting another person’s details without their prior consent where the task asks for those details.
PhonePe says violations may result in suspension or cancellation of a task or reward, loss of eligibility, or termination of the relevant accounts.

- The actions the invitee must complete and the deadline.
- Eligibility rules, including any new-user or previous-transaction conditions.
- The reward’s form and value.
- Verification requirements and any stated settlement timing.
- Voucher or reward expiry and redemption limits.
