What changed in the Librarian Grade III vacancy count?
The 548-post figure in the original campaign announcement was not the final total reported by RSSB. The board’s December 2, 2025 digitally signed result document reflects the later amendments and lists 648 posts.

These figures describe successive versions of the same recruitment, not competing estimates. The post was for Librarian Grade III staff in Rajasthan education departments.
Application and exam dates
- Applications opened: March 5, 2025.
- Application deadline: April 3, 2025. The application window has passed.
- Exam: July 27, 2025, in morning and evening shifts, according to RSSB’s result document.
RSSB’s June notice also provided a separate, now-closed withdrawal period: candidates who lacked the specified qualification or did not wish to appear could withdraw online through the SSO Recruitment Portal from June 26 to June 28, 2025. The notice warned that candidates without the required qualification who did not withdraw could face action after eligibility checks. It said the other conditions of the original advertisement remained unchanged.

Eligibility and fees reported for the 2025 drive
Contemporaneous recruitment coverage described eligibility as 10+2 plus a Library Science certificate, diploma or degree, along with Hindi knowledge in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture. It reported an age range of 18–40 years as of January 1, 2026. The complete controlling advertisement and amendments are not reproduced in the official material cited here, so candidates should consult RSSB’s original advertisement for exact qualifications, category-specific age relaxations and other binding conditions.
Reports also gave application fees of ₹600 for general and creamy-layer categories and ₹400 for specified non-creamy-layer and reserved categories. Exact category labels and fee rules should be checked against the advertisement and amendments; these reported amounts are not a basis for a current application.
Where to find the result and official notices
RSSB’s official result PDF contains the merit result and details of deleted questions. The result document also records the revised vacancy total and the July 27 exam date. The available material does not establish later appointment action or litigation status after December 2025, so the result alone should not be treated as confirmation of an individual appointment.
For the controlling terms, vacancy amendments and any later official updates, use the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board’s recruitment notices and result documents. The original application deadline and withdrawal period are historical and cannot be used to apply now.
