Use the official 8171 web portal to make a household eligibility inquiry: enter the requested CNIC number and CAPTCHA, then submit the form. The portal does not reveal a result until you submit the details. A lookup is not registration and does not guarantee a payment. BISP says registration and surveys are free, and identifies 8171 as its official messaging number.
How to check 8171 status online
- Open the official portal at https://8171.bisp.gov.pk/. Check the domain carefully before entering information.
- Enter the CNIC number requested by the household eligibility form and complete its CAPTCHA.
- Submit the form and follow the result shown for the household. The public page does not display an individual household’s result unless the user submits the requested information.
This is the 8171 eligibility check: it is an online inquiry, not a registration form or a promise that a payment is due. Do not post or send your CNIC to a publisher, in comments, or to an unofficial checker.
Check BISP payment: eligibility is not payment confirmation
A household eligibility result and confirmation that a particular installment is ready are different questions. For payment timing or the amount due in your case, rely on a message from 8171 and current BISP channels. BISP advised beneficiaries to go to a payment center only after receiving a message from 8171.
In Press Release No. 35, dated February 25, 2025, BISP announced that the quarterly Benazir Kafaalat installment had increased from Rs. 10,500 to Rs. 13,500. This is a dated 2025 announcement; it does not establish the current 2026 installment amount or schedule.

What the 8171 eligibility check can—and cannot—tell you
The official portal provides a household eligibility inquiry. BISP’s eligibility description refers to assessment through the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) and a Proxy Means Test (PMT), but the available description also shows an older stipend amount. Current thresholds and a complete list of eligibility criteria are not established here, so do not treat an old amount or threshold as current guidance.
If you need to enroll, complete a survey, or resolve an unclear result, confirm the next step through BISP’s current registration center or official channels. Checking the portal alone does not enroll a household.

BISP CNIC check, fees, and scam warnings
- There is no registration or survey fee. Do not pay an agent or third-party website to check eligibility or register. In its February 25, 2025 press release, BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid said: “there is no registration fee or form for the Benazir Income Support Program, and all communications are sent exclusively from the number 8171.”
- Check the sender. BISP identifies 8171 as its official messaging number and warns that messages from other numbers are fraudulent. If a message seems suspicious, verify it through BISP channels rather than following its links or paying a fee.
- Report deductions. BISP directs beneficiaries to call 0800-26477 or visit the nearest BISP office to report a deduction. Keep any payment message and details of the deduction available when seeking help.
What the 2025 figures mean
BISP’s February 25, 2025 press release reported “9.3 million women — Benazir Income Support Programme, 2025.” That is a figure attributed to the 2025 release, not a current 2026 beneficiary count.

Use the official site and BISP channels to check a household’s case; a search phrase or an old page is not confirmation of current eligibility, payment timing, or amount.
