There is no defensible, like-for-like ranking of the eight most expensive luxury cruises from the published fares available here. The clearest high-end examples include a Regent Seven Seas world cruise advertised in 2025 at up to $881,999 per guest for its extended sailing, and a separate Regent suite advertised from $25,000 per night. Those figures measure different things: one is a voyage total per guest; the other is a nightly starting fare for a suite.

How to compare the cost of luxury cruises
“Most expensive” can mean the highest total voyage fare per person, the price of an entire suite, or a nightly rate. It can also change with voyage length, occupancy, cabin category, currency, availability and what the fare includes. The examples below distinguish those units rather than treating unlike prices as a single ranking.
Regent’s world-cruise fares are described as all-inclusive in its announcement. Seabourn’s 2028 world-cruise page, by contrast, lists specific benefits such as round-trip business-class air and a pre-cruise hotel night. Inclusion lists matter when comparing headline prices; the available figures do not establish a consistent valuation of those benefits across operators.

Eight expensive cruise experiences and comparisons
1. Regent Seven Seas’ 140-night 2028 World Cruise extension
Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced a top fare of $881,999 per guest for the 140-night Los Angeles-to-Vancouver extension of its 2028 Legends of the Pacific World Cruise. This is the highest substantiated total fare in the published examples here, but it is an announced 2025 fare—not a verified live quote or proof of the most expensive cruise currently bookable. Regent’s 2025 announcement describes the fares as all-inclusive.
2. Regent Seven Seas’ 133-night 2028 World Cruise
The main 133-night Legends of the Pacific sailing aboard Seven Seas Splendor was announced at $88,499 to $837,899 per guest for the full voyage. The upper figure is lower than the extended sailing’s announced top fare; it should not be mistaken for a current booking price. The same announcement characterizes the fares as all-inclusive. 3. Skyview Regent Suite aboard Seven Seas Prestige
Regent announced a starting fare of $25,000 per night for the Skyview Regent Suite on Seven Seas Prestige. The suite measures 8,794 square feet, including 3,703 square feet of balcony area. The nightly starting fare is not a total voyage price and cannot be ranked directly against a per-guest world-cruise total. 4. Crystal’s 2027 World Cruise
Crystal’s benefits document gives a starting price of $69,000 per person, based on double occupancy, for its 2027 World Cruise. 5. Cunard Queens Grill Suites on an 18-night 2027 voyage
Cunard’s U.S. listing for an 18-night August 2027 Iceland and Norway cruise shows Queens Grill Suites from $16,339 per person, based on double occupancy. This is a specific voyage and suite-category comparison, not a world-cruise total or evidence of a place in a global top eight. Cunard says fares vary by voyage, stateroom grade and fare type. 6. Seabourn’s 2028 Cape to Cape World Cruise
Seabourn describes its 2028 Cape to Cape World Cruise as visiting 58 destinations in 23 countries across five continents. Its official page lists benefits that include round-trip business-class air, a one-night pre-cruise hotel stay in Miami and shipboard-credit offers. The published material cited here does not provide a comparable headline fare, so the itinerary belongs in a comparison of high-end world cruises, not in a price-ranked list. 7. Regent’s 2028 World Cruise lower-fare category
The announced $88,499 per-guest starting fare for Regent’s 133-night sailing is a distinct price point worth separating from its $837,899 top fare. Both figures were announced for the same voyage in 2025; they reflect different fare categories, not separate cruises. The starting figure is useful when comparing advertised entry points, but it does not identify a specific stateroom or establish current availability. Regent’s release contains the announcement.
8. Regent’s 140-night extension starting fare
The same extended 140-night Regent sailing was announced from $93,999 per guest, alongside its $881,999 top fare. This is the extension’s advertised lower fare, not an independent itinerary or a live quote. Keeping the starting and top fares distinct illustrates why a single “cruise price” can conceal a very wide spread by category. The 2025 announcement provides both figures.

What the advertised prices do—and do not—tell you
The examples include different price units and fare types. A per-guest total for a long itinerary, a double-occupancy starting fare, a nightly suite rate and a fare for one particular 18-night voyage are not interchangeable. Nor does an all-inclusive label establish that two operators include identical services.
- Confirm the unit: Is the amount per guest, per suite or per night? Is double occupancy assumed?
- Check the scope: Does the price cover the full voyage or only a segment, and how many nights?
- Read the inclusions: Verify what the operator says is included, such as air, hotel stays, excursions, drinks, gratuities or shipboard credit. Do not assume one line’s package matches another’s.
- Check the fare date and status: An announced fare, an advertised starting price and a live booking quote are different kinds of evidence. Availability and prices can change.
- Compare like with like: For a meaningful ranking, use the same currency, occupancy basis, voyage duration and cabin or suite category, and record the booking date.
Cunard explicitly says prices change frequently and vary by cruise, stateroom grade and fare type. The official U.S. listing cited above is a dated comparison, not a guarantee of today’s fare.
Is there a verified list of the eight most expensive cruises?
No. The cited official material substantiates selected expensive examples, but it does not provide current top-end booking fares for eight comparable cruises across operators. In particular, Seabourn’s cited itinerary page supplies useful route and benefit details but no comparable headline fare, while the Crystal and Cunard prices are starting fares for different products. A defensible ordered ranking would require current official quotes checked on the same basis.
