KnownHost Standard+ is the best overall value among the published plans reviewed here if you need traditional WHM/cPanel reseller hosting for roughly 10–50 ordinary client websites. It lists 50 cPanel accounts, 80 GB of storage, 3,000 GB of bandwidth, LiteSpeed, and 2 vCPU with 2 GB of memory per cPanel account at an advertised price starting at $12.97 per month.
InMotion R-2000N is the more complete business package because it combines 50 cPanel licenses with WHMCS, an eNom domain-reseller account, private nameservers, white-label tools, two dedicated IPs, and a 90-day guarantee. Its important drawback is price: the introductory rate is $26.99 per month, but the listed renewal rate is $55.99 per month.
There is one important category distinction. KnownHost, InMotion, GreenGeeks, HostArmada, and Namecheap offer traditional reseller hosting built around separate WHM and cPanel accounts. SiteGround GoGeek is an agency-style alternative built around Site Tools and managed WordPress features—not a conventional WHM/cPanel reseller account. It may be the better operational choice for a WordPress agency, but it is not a direct substitute for a white-label hosting business.
Quick verdict
The right plan depends less on the headline storage number than on the business model you intend to run. Choose a traditional cPanel reseller plan when every client needs an independent login, separate account limits, custom packages, and the option to automate billing. Choose an agency-style platform when you manage sites for clients and do not need to sell ordinary hosting accounts under your own storefront.

How these plans were evaluated
This comparison uses current provider plan pages and support documentation supplied for the review. It does not claim independent uptime, speed, support, or load-testing results. Technologies such as NVMe storage, LiteSpeed, caching, CloudLinux, and a provider’s uptime guarantee can be useful indicators, but they are not substitutes for controlled testing on the workloads your clients actually run.
The evaluation gives the most weight to:
- True reseller capability: WHM, separate cPanel accounts, custom packages, account suspension, private nameservers, and white-label controls.
- Transparent capacity: cPanel account limits, storage, transfer, CPU, RAM, inodes, email limits, and database or PHP-worker constraints where published.
- Business tooling: WHMCS or another billing platform, domain resale, provisioning integrations, SSL, and client-facing branding.
- Risk controls: backups, restoration, malware protection, migrations, security tools, and support boundaries.
- Economics: the promotional price, renewal price, billing commitment, and recurring add-ons—not just the smallest monthly number in an advertisement.
- Availability and fit: whether the provider is actually selling the plan to new customers and whether the model suits brochure sites, WordPress, ecommerce, or custom applications.
The six best plans in detail
1. KnownHost Standard+: best overall value for traditional reseller hosting
KnownHost’s Standard+ plan is the strongest price-to-published-resource candidate for an agency that wants separate cPanel accounts without immediately moving to a VPS. The comparison page lists 80 GB of total cloud storage, 50 cPanel accounts, and 3,000 GB of bandwidth at a price starting at $12.97 per month.
The published specifications are unusually helpful because KnownHost lists 2 vCPU and 2 GB of memory per cPanel account, in addition to LiteSpeed and cPanel/WHM. That makes the plan easier to assess than a package that only advertises storage and “unlimited” bandwidth. The provider also describes CloudLinux isolation, free migrations, backups, Softaculous, and white-label support in its reseller information.
- Who should choose it: web designers, developers, freelancers, and small agencies hosting roughly 10–50 ordinary websites.
- What kind of reseller it is: traditional WHM/cPanel reseller hosting with separate child accounts.
- Billing: the page says “as low as” $12.97 per month. Confirm the selected billing term and the amount charged today.
- WHMCS and domains: the supplied public comparison does not clearly establish whether WHMCS or a domain-reseller account is included. Treat both as presales questions.
- Branding: white-label support is described, but verify private nameservers, branded cPanel surfaces, and whether billing emails expose KnownHost.
- Backups and migration: both are advertised, but confirm retention, restore type, and the number and kind of accounts covered.
- Support: the upstream host supports the reseller; you remain responsible for your own clients’ day-to-day support.
- Upgrade path: the listed lineup increases to Professional+ and Premium+, with 75 and 100 cPanel accounts, 120 and 200 GB of storage, and 4,000 GB or unlimited bandwidth respectively.
Why not choose it: the public comparison does not present a renewal figure and leaves important commercial details—especially WHMCS, domain resale, backup retention, and data-center choice—to be verified. The $12.97 figure should therefore be treated as an advertised starting price, not a guaranteed long-term cost.
2. InMotion R-2000N: best complete reseller-business package
InMotion’s R-2000N is the best fit when hosting is only one part of the business. The published plan includes 160 GB of NVMe storage, 2,000 GB of bandwidth, 50 cPanel licenses, two dedicated IPs, free WHMCS, white-label tools, and an eNom domain-reseller account. The introductory rate is $26.99 per month and the listed renewal rate is $55.99 per month.
Its business-tooling advantage matters. WHM manages reseller-level accounts and packages; cPanel gives each client a control panel; WHMCS handles billing, provisioning, support tickets, and automation; and eNom provides a route to domain resale. These are separate functions, and having them bundled reduces the number of services you must source and integrate yourself.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute- Who should choose it: agencies that want to sell hosting, domains, SSL, and recurring maintenance from one branded operation.
- Resources: 160 GB NVMe, 2,000 GB bandwidth, and 50 cPanel licenses. The supplied plan evidence does not provide per-account CPU or RAM figures.
- White-labeling: private nameservers and white-label branding are included in the reseller offering. Verify exactly which client-facing screens and emails are branded.
- Domains: an eNom domain-reseller account is included, subject to the provider’s registration terms and pricing.
- Backups: confirm retention and whether individual files, databases, mailboxes, and full cPanel accounts can be restored.
- Migrations: confirm the current scope and number of free migrations rather than assuming every legacy account qualifies.
- Guarantee: the plan lists a 90-day guarantee.
- Locations: InMotion lists U.S. locations and Amsterdam; select a location close to most of your customers where the plan permits it.
- Support: InMotion supports the reseller, but you are the front-line support contact for your customers.
- Upgrade path: R-3000N lists 80 licenses and R-4000N lists 100, with more storage and bandwidth.
Why not choose it: the renewal price is more than twice the introductory price. At $55.99 per month, the plan costs $671.88 per year before taxes, payment fees, domains, or other add-ons. Budget from the renewal rate if you intend to keep clients for more than the first term.
3. GreenGeeks RH-50: best mid-market white-label choice
GreenGeeks RH-50 combines conventional WHM/cPanel hosting with white-label features, private nameservers, WHMCS, and an eNom domain-reseller account. It lists 80 GB of SSD storage, 800 GB of transfer, and 50 cPanel accounts at $24.95 per month when prepaid for 12 months. The listed renewal rate is $49.95 per month.

- Easily store and access 5TB of content on the go with the Seagate portable drive, a USB external hard Drive
- Designed to work with Windows or Mac computers, this external hard drive makes backup a snap just drag and drop
- To get set up, connect the portable hard drive to a computer for automatic recognition software required
- This USB drive provides plug and play simplicity with the included 18 inch USB 3.0 cable
- The available storage capacity may vary.
The most important detail is that the reseller quota is finite. GreenGeeks’ support documentation lists 1 GB of physical memory, 2 CPU cores, 200,000 inodes, and a 100-email-per-hour limit per child account. A custom client package may show an unlimited value for some fields, but the parent reseller plan remains constrained by its storage, transfer, CPU, memory, inode, and email rules.
- Who should choose it: agencies that want a traditional hosting storefront, domain resale, and white-label controls at a mid-market price.
- Resources: 80 GB SSD, 800 GB transfer, and 50 cPanel accounts, plus the per-child-account limits in GreenGeeks’ support documentation.
- Business tools: WHM/cPanel, WHMCS, eNom, private nameservers, white-label branding, and developer tools including SSH, Git, WP-CLI, SFTP, staging, and multiple PHP versions.
- Migrations: up to 30 free cPanel migrations are listed. Confirm whether the limit applies per order, per account, or under additional conditions.
- Backups: the cited documentation describes nightly backups with 24-hour retention. That is materially different from a long-retention, off-site backup product, so maintain independent backups for important client sites.
- Support: GreenGeeks supports the reseller; the reseller remains responsible for end-customer support.
- Upgrade path: RH-80 increases the allowance to 160 GB, 1,600 GB of transfer, and 80 cPanel accounts.
Why not choose it: the renewal rate doubles the first-year monthly equivalent, and strict child-account limits can make “unlimited” retail packages difficult to deliver for email-heavy or resource-intensive customers. GreenGeeks’ environmental branding may appeal to some businesses, but this comparison does not independently assess environmental performance.

HostArmada’s Protoseller is a traditional cloud reseller environment with 80 GB of NVMe storage, 60 cPanel accounts, and 6 TB of bandwidth. The page displays $28.02 per month on a two-year term and a $37.35 regular price. The two-year term is essential context: do not treat $28.02 as a universal month-to-month rate.
The plan’s published feature set is oriented toward WordPress and general site performance. It lists 30 daily backups, free SSL, dynamic caching, malware scanning and removal, WAF/IP firewall protection, and free white-label branding. HostArmada describes an environment where the reseller creates separate cPanel accounts and custom packages.
- Who should choose it: agencies with WordPress-heavy portfolios that value NVMe storage, caching, security tools, and a larger bandwidth allowance.
- Resources: 80 GB NVMe, 6 TB bandwidth, and 60 cPanel accounts. Per-account CPU and RAM limits are not established in the supplied evidence.
- Backups: 30 daily backups are listed, but verify whether restores are free, whether backup storage counts toward quota, and whether individual databases and mailboxes can be restored.
- White-labeling: free white-label branding is advertised. Test nameservers, control-panel branding, invoices, support emails, and server hostnames before making a promise to clients.
- WHMCS and domains: the supplied plan evidence does not clearly establish that WHMCS or a domain-reseller account is included. Confirm the licensing and integration cost.
- Migrations: verify the number and type of free migrations available for your existing cPanel accounts.
- Support: expect the reseller to handle end-customer support, even when HostArmada supports the reseller account.
- Upgrade path: Web Giant lists 100 cPanel accounts, 110 GB NVMe, and 9 TB bandwidth; Site Nova lists 150 accounts, 200 GB, and 12 TB.
Why not choose it: the attractive price requires a two-year displayed term, and the public evidence is less complete on WHMCS, domain resale, per-account CPU/RAM, and renewal mechanics than a cautious buyer may want.
HostArmada’s technology stack supports calling Protoseller performance-oriented. It does not support a claim that it is independently the fastest reseller host; no apples-to-apples performance test is part of this comparison.

SiteGround GoGeek belongs in this list because many agencies search for “reseller hosting” when what they really need is a way to manage multiple client websites. GoGeek lists 100 GB of web space, unlimited websites, white-label Site Tools, private DNS, granular client access, backups, CDN, staging, managed WordPress updates, and WooCommerce support. It costs $7.99 per month prepaid for 12 months and renews at $44.99 per month.
However, SiteGround does not use the traditional WHM-and-child-cPanel-account model described by the other five plans. Its reseller program emphasizes Site Tools, collaborators, white-label access, and custom hosting packages. SiteGround recommends GrowBig for building and managing client sites, GoGeek or Cloud when clients need white-label access, and Cloud when custom resource limits and custom packages are required.
- Who should choose it: a WordPress design or marketing agency that manages sites as a service rather than selling generic cPanel hosting accounts.
- Resources: GoGeek lists 100 GB of web space and unlimited websites. It does not provide a comparable cPanel-account quota or traditional WHM resource table.
- Management tools: white-label Site Tools, granular client access, daily and on-demand backups, free SSL, CDN, staging, managed WordPress updates, and WooCommerce support.
- WHM/cPanel: not included; SiteGround uses its own Site Tools interface.
- WHMCS and domain resale: the supplied evidence does not establish a WHMCS-style hosting-billing system or conventional domain-reseller account.
- Support: SiteGround supports the account holder and platform; the agency still owns the client relationship and should define its own support service.
- Upgrade path: SiteGround Cloud starts at $100 per month and can be configured from 40 GB to 1 TB, with more control over resources and packages.
Why not choose it: it is a poor fit for a standalone hosting brand whose customers expect separate cPanel accounts, WHM packages, automated WHMCS provisioning, and domain resale. Its $7.99 introductory price also rises sharply to $44.99 at renewal.
The current U.S. page lists 50 GB for GrowBig and 100 GB for GoGeek. Older coverage reporting 20 GB for SiteGround’s entry reseller option is outdated.

6. Namecheap Nebula: best predictable monthly-price entry option
Namecheap Nebula is the simplest traditional cPanel option for a small reseller who wants a stable published monthly price. It lists 25 cPanel accounts, 30 GB of storage, unmetered bandwidth, and free cPanel/WHM at $19.88 per month. The listed renewal price is also $19.88 per month, avoiding the unusually large first-renewal jump seen on several competing plans.
- Who should choose it: a freelancer or small hosting brand with a limited number of modest client sites and a preference for month-to-month price predictability.
- Resources: 30 GB storage, 25 cPanel accounts, and unmetered bandwidth. CPU, RAM, inode, database, and email limits should be confirmed before accepting resource-heavy clients.
- WHM/cPanel: included.
- WHMCS: compatible, but not simply free in every plan. Namecheap lists a branded Starter license at $8 per month, Plus at $27, Professional at $46, and Business at $75.
- Domains and branding: white-label tools, private nameservers, SSL resale options, and reseller functionality are advertised. Confirm the exact domain-registration margin and customer-facing branding.
- Backups and migrations: the supplied plan evidence does not establish retention, restore limits, or a specific migration allowance. Obtain those details in writing.
- Guarantee: 30-day money-back guarantee.
- Upgrade path: Galaxy Expert lists 100 cPanel accounts and 90 GB storage; Universe Pro lists 150 accounts and 150 GB storage.
Why not choose it: 30 GB and 25 accounts are modest for a growing agency, and a WHMCS license increases the real monthly cost. “Unmetered” bandwidth also does not remove CPU, memory, inode, email, or fair-use constraints.
Traditional reseller hosting versus agency hosting
These products solve different business problems:
| Need | Traditional WHM/cPanel reseller | Agency-style managed hosting |
|---|---|---|
| Sell independent hosting accounts | Best fit: create separate cPanel accounts and WHM packages | Usually not the intended model |
| Give every client a cPanel login | Core feature | May not be available; access is usually through the provider’s own tools |
| Automate recurring hosting bills | WHMCS, Blesta, or Upmind can often provision accounts | May require a separate agency billing workflow |
| Manage WordPress sites for clients | Possible, with more server and support responsibility | Often simpler through staging, updates, client access, backups, and managed tools |
| Control resource packages | Set limits in WHM, subject to the parent account | May use provider-defined tiers; custom limits may require Cloud or a higher plan |
| Run a white-label hosting storefront | Usually the stronger choice | Only appropriate if the platform’s branding and billing model meet your needs |
SiteGround is the clearest example of the second model. WP Engine’s managed agency products are another example: they use a proprietary dashboard for WordPress installs rather than cPanel or WHM. Both can be excellent agency tools without being conventional reseller hosting. See WPBeginner’s distinction between reseller and agency-style hosting.
The real cost of reseller hosting
A reseller plan is infrastructure, not automatic profit. Your margin must cover the host’s renewal price plus the time and services required to acquire, migrate, secure, update, and support client websites.
Use this formula:
True first-year cost = upfront hosting charge + required licenses + mandatory add-ons + domains + migration costs + taxes.
For ongoing planning:
Year-two cost = renewal rate × 12 + recurring licenses and add-ons.
A labeled break-even example
Suppose you choose InMotion R-2000N at its listed renewal rate of $55.99 per month. The annual hosting renewal is $671.88 before WHMCS-related extras, domains, taxes, payment processing, support labor, or other services. If you charge $15 per month for hosting and ignore every other business cost, five paying sites generate $900 per year and cover that hosting renewal. Four sites generate $720 and leave only $48.12 before all other costs.
This is not a profit forecast. It illustrates why a low retail price can be misleading: if you include backups, WordPress updates, migrations, emergency support, or security monitoring, the value of your labor—not the reseller plan—is likely to be the largest cost.
Promotional pricing traps to check
- Term: SiteGround and GreenGeeks show prices tied to 12-month prepaid terms; HostArmada’s displayed Protoseller price uses a two-year term.
- Renewal: InMotion R-2000N rises from $26.99 to $55.99; GreenGeeks RH-50 rises from $24.95 to $49.95; SiteGround GoGeek rises from $7.99 to $44.99.
- WHMCS: InMotion and GreenGeeks advertise it as included; Namecheap lists it as a separate license.
- Domains: a domain-reseller account is separate from hosting. Check wholesale registration, renewal, transfer, privacy, and payment terms.
- Dedicated IPs: confirm whether included IPs are necessary for your use case and whether additional addresses cost extra.
- Backups: advertised backup frequency is not the same as long retention or guaranteed restoration.
- Taxes and currency: the figures here are U.S. dollars and may exclude taxes or vary by country, server location, and checkout promotion.
A rough promotional capacity calculation can be useful but should not be mistaken for a margin calculation. For example, KnownHost Standard+ works out to about $0.26 per listed cPanel-account slot at the $12.97 advertised starting price; InMotion R-2000N is about $0.54 per slot at $26.99; GreenGeeks RH-50 is about $0.50; HostArmada Protoseller is about $0.47; and Namecheap Nebula is about $0.80. These figures ignore unused capacity, renewal rates, CPU contention, support, licensing, taxes, and every non-hosting cost.
Which plan fits your situation?
| Your situation | Most sensible starting point | Why | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5–10 simple brochure sites | Namecheap Nebula or KnownHost Standard+ | Nebula offers predictable monthly pricing; KnownHost offers more listed capacity and per-account resource information | Whether the minimum storage, email limits, and backup policy fit each client |
| About 25 ordinary client websites | KnownHost Standard+, InMotion R-2000N, or GreenGeeks RH-50 | Each lists 50 cPanel-account capacity and traditional reseller controls | Renewal cost, support workload, private nameservers, and billing automation |
| About 50 WordPress sites | KnownHost Standard+, GreenGeeks RH-50, or HostArmada Protoseller | They provide traditional account separation; HostArmada adds 6 TB bandwidth and 30 daily backups | Per-account CPU/RAM, PHP workers, database limits, backups, and malware response |
| 50+ sites with substantial email | Upgrade within the traditional lineup or assess a reseller VPS | Email limits can become the bottleneck even when websites and bandwidth appear adequate | Hourly sending limits, SMTP policy, IP reputation, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and abuse handling |
| Small or moderate WooCommerce stores | HostArmada, KnownHost, or a managed WordPress platform | Caching, isolation, backups, and WordPress tooling matter more than raw website count | Database performance, PHP workers, checkout traffic, cron jobs, and restore testing |
| High-volume ecommerce or custom applications | Managed reseller VPS, cloud server, or dedicated server | Dedicated resources, root-level control, background processes, or custom software may be necessary | Resource guarantees, monitoring, patching, compliance, scaling, and support response |
| Developer needing SSH, Git, WP-CLI, or multiple PHP versions | GreenGeeks RH-50 or another plan that documents developer tools | GreenGeeks specifically lists SSH, Git, WP-CLI, SFTP, staging, and multiple PHP versions | Language runtimes, cron limits, deployment workflow, and production support |
| Domain registrar adding hosting | InMotion, GreenGeeks, or ResellerClub | InMotion and GreenGeeks document eNom domain resale; ResellerClub focuses on domains plus hosting and other services | Wholesale margins, storefront branding, API access, billing, and current technical specifications |
| WordPress agency that does not need cPanel | SiteGround GoGeek or Cloud | Site Tools, collaborator access, staging, CDN, backups, and managed WordPress tools may be easier than WHM | Client handoff, billing, resource controls, and whether the platform exposes enough branding |
| Existing reseller leaving HostGator or a legacy plan | KnownHost, InMotion, GreenGeeks, HostArmada, or Namecheap after a migration test | These provide current traditional alternatives, while HostGator’s current price chart says reseller plans are no longer offered to new signups | Full cPanel backup import, DNS, email, cron jobs, PHP versions, IP reputation, and renewal cost |
What to verify before buying
1. Account isolation and limits
- How many separate cPanel accounts are included?
- Does each client receive a separate login?
- Do additional accounts cost extra?
- What are the CPU, RAM, entry-process, I/O, inode, database, PHP-worker, and email limits?
- Are limits applied per account, per package, or across the entire reseller pool?
2. Billing, domains, and branding
- Is WHMCS included, discounted, branded, or separately licensed?
- Does the provider support Blesta, Upmind, or another billing system?
- Is a domain-reseller account included, and what are the renewal costs?
- Can you use private nameservers such as
ns1.example.comandns2.example.com? - Are logos, favicons, invoices, support emails, client portals, control panels, and server hostnames white-labeled?
3. Backups and recovery
- How frequently are backups made?
- How long are they retained?
- Are they stored separately from the hosting account?
- Can you restore an entire cPanel account, one file, one database, or one mailbox?
- Are restores free, and do backups consume your quota?
4. Email and abuse controls
- What is the hourly outbound email limit?
- Are bulk marketing messages prohibited?
- Are SPF, DKIM, and DMARC supported?
- What happens if one client’s compromised site sends spam?
- Can you move transactional email to a specialist provider?
5. Migration and exit
- How many accounts can the provider migrate for free?
- Does the migration include email, DNS, SSL, cron jobs, databases, and PHP settings?
- Can you export a complete cPanel backup?
- Can an individual client account be moved to another owner or host?
- Does the platform depend on proprietary tools that make exit difficult?
6. Support boundaries
Ask whether support is for the reseller only or also for your clients. In the normal reseller model, the provider supports your infrastructure while your agency remains the customer’s first point of contact. A practical setup path
- Choose the model: decide between WHM/cPanel reseller hosting, agency management, a reseller VPS, or a domain-and-hosting wholesale platform.
- Use a separate brand domain: avoid building the customer-facing brand around the upstream host’s domain.
- Configure private nameservers: create names such as
ns1.example.comandns2.example.comthrough the registrar, then follow the provider’s IP or nameserver instructions. - Create packages in WHM: define storage, bandwidth, domains, email, databases, feature access, and any available CPU or resource limits.
- Give every client a separate account: do not put unrelated customers into one shared login when isolation and handoff matter.
- Connect billing: install or connect WHMCS, Blesta, Upmind, or another supported platform, then configure payment processing and domain registration.
- Apply branding: configure the logo, favicon, nameservers, support address, invoice branding, and client portal.
- Test the full customer journey: place a test order, provision an account, install WordPress, issue SSL, send and receive email, restore a backup, suspend the account, and cancel it.
- Set security and email policies: enable two-factor authentication, automatic updates, malware scanning, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and abuse monitoring.
- Document the exit process: keep independent backups and record how to export each client’s files, databases, email, DNS, SSL, and cron settings.
For provider-specific instructions, consult InMotion’s reseller guide and Namecheap’s reseller documentation. Exact menu names can change with the provider and software version, so do not rely on an old tutorial without checking the current interface.
When reseller hosting is the wrong choice
Traditional reseller hosting is generally suitable for brochure sites, small-business WordPress sites, blogs, low-to-moderate traffic websites, and small WooCommerce stores. It becomes a weaker fit when a client needs:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- Guaranteed dedicated CPU or RAM.
- High-volume ecommerce or large databases.
- Persistent background processes or custom server software.
- Root access or unusual language runtimes.
- High-volume outbound email.
- Strict compliance, isolation, or a particular data-residency requirement.
- Direct enterprise support from the infrastructure provider rather than support through your agency.
In those cases, compare a managed reseller VPS, managed VPS, cloud server, or dedicated server. InMotion specifically distinguishes shared reseller plans from reseller VPS options for customers who need more resources and control.
Strong alternatives
Hosting.com
Hosting.com is a serious traditional alternative. Its current page advertises white-label cPanel/WHM hosting, 24/7/365 reseller support, free SSL, daily backups, migrations, unlimited websites and email accounts, and integrations with WHMCS, Blesta, and Upmind. The comparison lists tiers with 30, 60, 120, and 150 accounts and 100, 180, 360, and 500 GB of storage. The supplied public page did not expose a reliable current price table, so older secondary figures should not be used. Verify the final cart price, renewal price, account limits, and cPanel model before selecting it.
InterServer
InterServer’s cPanel reseller plans list 20–60 cPanel accounts. RS One is listed at $19.95 per month with 20 accounts, 80 GB of storage, and 500 GB of monthly bandwidth; higher plans rise to RS Five at $69.95. It also offers a separate DirectAdmin reseller model with unlimited client accounts and domains, scaled by storage and bandwidth. Private DNS and unique IPs are listed as paid add-ons for the cPanel model. It is worth considering if you value fixed pricing or specifically want DirectAdmin, but clients who expect cPanel may make the cPanel tier the safer choice.
ResellerClub
ResellerClub focuses on a broader wholesale ecosystem that includes domains, hosting, email, SSL, website tools, WordPress hosting, VPS, cloud, and dedicated servers. It advertises white-label storefronts, wholesale pricing, U.S. and India server locations, reseller support, migration help, and hosting from $11.99 per month. Its detailed pricing page lists Linux plans with 25, 35, 45, and 60 cPanel accounts and 40, 50, 100, and 200 GB of storage. However, the same page contains visibly old technical references such as CloudLinux 6.9 and PHP 5.x/7.0. Treat those specifications as unverified until ResellerClub confirms the current platform and checkout terms.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Reseller VPS or direct VPS
A managed reseller VPS can provide more predictable resources and control than a shared reseller account, but it adds cost and administration. A direct VPS also requires you to assemble a control panel, security, backups, monitoring, billing, licensing, and migration process. Choose that path only when the additional control solves a real client requirement and the margin supports the operational burden.
Important availability and comparison corrections
HostGator should not be treated as a current new-signup recommendation
Older articles may list HostGator’s Aluminum reseller plan and a free WHMCS license. HostGator’s current official price chart says Linux reseller plans are no longer offered for new signups, although existing customers continue to receive support. A separate HostGator support page says WHMCS is no longer free and must be purchased directly. A beta or development page still displays reseller plans, so new customers should not rely on it without a live purchase test.
WP Engine is an agency platform, not cPanel reseller hosting
WPBeginner’s comparison correctly distinguishes WP Engine’s managed agency offering from traditional reseller hosting. Its proprietary dashboard can be useful for managing WordPress installations, but it does not create the WHM/cPanel child accounts, packages, and automated hosting storefront associated with the conventional plans in this guide.
“Unlimited” still has hard limits
Unlimited websites, unlimited domains, unmetered bandwidth, and an unlimited client package are not the same as unlimited infrastructure. Storage, transfer, CPU, RAM, inodes, email-per-hour limits, databases, PHP workers, fair-use rules, and abuse policies still constrain the account. GreenGeeks’ published child-account limits illustrate why the parent quota must be read alongside the retail package builder.

Common failure modes for new resellers
- Buying on the introductory price: the renewal can make a low retail price unprofitable.
- Overpromising unlimited service: a client may hit CPU, inode, email, or database limits despite an unlimited package label.
- Allowing one client to affect all others: a compromised WordPress site can consume resources, send spam, trigger an abuse complaint, or harm shared IP reputation.
- Relying only on the host’s backups: a short retention window or account-wide failure can leave no practical recovery point.
- Ignoring email: hosting email can have strict hourly limits and reputation problems; important transactional messages may belong with a specialist email provider.
- Assuming white-label means invisible infrastructure: support tickets, billing messages, abuse notices, server hostnames, or DNS records may reveal the upstream provider.
- Skipping the exit test: proprietary management tools or incomplete backups can make a later migration expensive.
- Treating an uptime guarantee as measured uptime: guarantees often exclude maintenance and provide service credits rather than cash compensation.
At minimum, use separate client accounts, two-factor authentication, strong passwords, automatic updates, malware scanning, independent backups, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, a documented suspension process, and an external transactional-email provider for important messages.
Final recommendations by scenario
- Best overall value: KnownHost Standard+, based on its published combination of 50 cPanel accounts, 80 GB storage, 3 TB bandwidth, LiteSpeed, and per-account CPU/RAM figures. Verify renewal pricing and WHMCS before paying.
- Best all-in-one domain-and-hosting business: InMotion R-2000N, if WHMCS, eNom, private nameservers, white-label tools, dedicated IPs, and a 90-day guarantee justify the $55.99 renewal price.
- Best white-label mid-market traditional plan: GreenGeeks RH-50, provided its 80 GB, 800 GB transfer, 50-account quota, 100-email-per-hour limit, and short cited backup retention fit your clients.
- Best performance-oriented reseller feature set: HostArmada Protoseller, especially for WordPress-heavy portfolios, provided you are comfortable with the displayed two-year term and confirm billing/domain integrations.
- Best managed WordPress agency platform: SiteGround GoGeek for agencies that manage websites rather than sell cPanel hosting accounts. Consider Cloud when you need custom resource limits and packages.
- Best low-commitment predictable price: Namecheap Nebula, if 25 cPanel accounts and 30 GB are enough and you budget separately for WHMCS.
- Best environmental positioning: no independent environmental winner is established by this comparison. GreenGeeks markets an environmental positioning, but a responsible ranking would require evidence beyond provider marketing.
- Best non-cPanel alternative: InterServer’s DirectAdmin reseller plans, if your customers and billing workflow do not require cPanel.
Methodology and disclosure
Prices and features in this guide were checked against the supplied provider pages and documentation on August 9, 2026. Prices are in U.S. dollars and can vary by billing term, location, taxes, currency, promotions, and checkout configuration. “As low as,” introductory, prepaid, two-year, and regular prices are not interchangeable.
This is a documentation-based comparison, not a hands-on performance or support test. No provider is called the fastest or most reliable on the basis of marketing claims, storage technology, or an uptime guarantee alone. Where a page did not clearly state WHMCS, domain resale, resource isolation, backup retention, migration limits, or renewal terms, that uncertainty is identified rather than filled with an assumption.
If any links in this article generate compensation, that relationship should be disclosed clearly to readers. The cost analysis should also be updated whenever a provider changes its checkout price, renewal policy, account quota, or plan availability.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is SiteGround GoGeek traditional reseller hosting?
No. SiteGround GoGeek is an agency-style managed hosting plan built around Site Tools, white-label access, private DNS, collaborators, backups, staging, and managed WordPress features. It does not provide the conventional WHM-and-child-cPanel-account model used by KnownHost, InMotion, GreenGeeks, HostArmada, and Namecheap.
Which reseller hosting plan includes WHMCS?
InMotion and GreenGeeks advertise WHMCS as included in the cited reseller plans. Namecheap is WHMCS-compatible but lists the license separately, starting at $8 per month for its branded Starter license. The supplied evidence does not clearly establish WHMCS inclusion for KnownHost or HostArmada, so verify before purchasing.
Can reseller hosting handle ecommerce websites?
It can handle small or moderate WooCommerce stores when the plan provides sufficient CPU, memory, database capacity, PHP workers, backups, and security controls. High-volume ecommerce, large databases, persistent background processes, or strict resource requirements usually justify a managed VPS, cloud server, or dedicated server.
Does unlimited bandwidth mean I can host unlimited clients?
No. Unlimited or unmetered bandwidth does not remove storage, CPU, RAM, inode, account, database, PHP-worker, email, fair-use, or abuse limits. Your plan’s actual client capacity is determined by the tightest of those constraints.
What should I budget after the introductory period?
Use the listed renewal price, not the promotional price, for long-term planning. For example, InMotion R-2000N renews at $55.99 per month, GreenGeeks RH-50 at $49.95, and SiteGround GoGeek at $44.99. Add recurring WHMCS or billing licenses, domains, taxes, payment fees, backups, and the labor required to support clients.
The Bottom Line
For traditional WHM/cPanel reseller hosting, start with KnownHost Standard+ for value, InMotion R-2000N for the most complete business toolkit, GreenGeeks RH-50 for white-label and domain resale, HostArmada Protoseller for a performance-oriented feature set, or Namecheap Nebula for predictable monthly pricing. If you are a WordPress agency managing sites rather than selling cPanel accounts, SiteGround GoGeek may be the easier fit—but compare it as managed agency hosting, not as a conventional reseller plan. In every case, price the renewal, verify resource and backup limits, and test the complete client onboarding and migration process before making a long-term commitment.
