The “33 best Memorial Day sales to shop this weekend” roundup was a Tom’s Guide shopping article last updated May 16, 2025. Its prices and discounts are historical—not verified offers for October 2026—so treat it as a record of what the article covered, not a current shopping guide.
What the 2025 Memorial Day roundup covered
Tom’s Guide’s roundup spanned several shopping categories rather than focusing on one product: outdoor grills, apparel and footwear, TVs, mattresses and pillows, computers, appliances, kitchenware, and smart-home products. Named retailers included Walmart, Lululemon, Amazon, X-Chair, Nike, Best Buy, Nectar, DreamCloud, Saatva, Casper, REI, Skechers, HOKA, Dell, and Home Depot. These are examples from the historical article, not confirmation that any retailer has a Memorial Day promotion now. Tom’s Guide’s May 16, 2025 roundup
Examples of prices and discounts reported in 2025
The roundup’s headline advertised discounts of up to 50%. It also reported up to 50% off Nike’s sitewide sale and up to 50% off select REI brands, including The North Face, HOKA, and Patagonia. Those figures describe the article’s May 2025 snapshot; they do not establish current discounts.
| Item or promotion | Price or discount reported | What the figure means |
|---|---|---|
| Skechers Go Run Lite men’s running shoe, listed at Amazon | $40 offer price; $75 former price | Tom’s Guide’s reported May 2025 offer; current listing, stock, and price are unverified. |
| HOKA Challenger 7 men’s shoe | $115 offer price; $145 former price | Tom’s Guide’s reported May 2025 offer; current listing, stock, and price are unverified. |
| Nectar Classic Memory Foam Mattress | $349 offer price; $998 former price | Tom’s Guide’s reported May 2025 offer; current listing, stock, and price are unverified. |
| Nike sitewide sale | Up to 50% off | Tom’s Guide described this as an early Memorial Day promotion in 2025. |
| Select REI brands, including The North Face, HOKA, and Patagonia | Up to 50% off | Tom’s Guide’s reported 2025 discount ceiling for select brands, not every product. |
How to use the old deals without mistaking them for current offers
A former price and a sale price from May 2025 cannot tell you what an item costs today or whether it is still available. Before buying, check the retailer’s live listing and confirm the exact model or configuration, eligible size and color, stock, sale end date, restrictions, shipping and return terms, and seller. Compare the current offer with a defensible recent or list price rather than assuming the old discount still applies.

What is—and is not—established about current Memorial Day sales
The source article does not establish any merchant’s October 2026 promotion dates, prices, inventory, or restrictions. Its author, Louis Ramirez, characterized the 2025 sales as broadly underway, but that was contemporaneous editorial commentary, not evidence about today’s offers. A current roundup would need fresh checks against retailer listings before calling any deal live.
Tom’s Guide’s page says it may earn an affiliate commission when readers purchase through its links. That is the source publisher’s disclosure; it does not establish another publisher’s affiliate access or terms.
