If you’re looking for remote work now, the 29 employers below are useful leads—not a confirmed list of current vacancies. FlexJobs ranked them using remote-job postings from January 1 through March 31, 2025, and its list included both fully remote and hybrid roles. Check each employer’s live posting for availability, location eligibility, and work arrangement before applying.

What the 2025 list does—and doesn’t—tell you

FlexJobs’ ranking reflects posting activity in its database during the first quarter of 2025. The publisher says it analyzed more than 60,000 companies and remote job postings for the Top 50 list. Inclusion establishes that an employer appeared in that historical dataset; it does not establish that the company has a vacancy today, hires in every location, or offers fully remote work for every position. FlexJobs’ 2025 Top 50 article describes the ranking and its observation window.

“Remote” also needs checking at the individual-job level. FlexJobs defines remote work as allowing work from home all or part of the time, so its category can include hybrid positions. An employer’s name on this list is not enough to determine whether a particular job is home-based full-time.

The ranking spans healthcare, technology, finance, government, engineering, and other fields. It includes government employers and staffing or recruitment firms alongside companies that provide products or services directly. That mix makes searching by job title and occupation more useful than relying on the employer list alone.

Why an older ranking can’t confirm who’s hiring now

Rankings change with their measurement periods. In January 2026, FlexJobs published a new annual ranking based on posting histories from January through December 2025. Its top ten were TELUS, Elevance Health, Lockheed Martin, Transcom, UnitedHealth Group, General Dynamics, BELAY, Centene Corporation, General Electric, and U.S. Bank—a different ordering and a different group from the 2025 first-quarter leaders. FlexJobs’ 2026 annual ranking is a later historical comparison, not a live vacancy feed.

FlexJobs reported that its 2025 dataset was weighted toward experienced roles: 67% of postings were experienced-level, 17% manager-level, 9% senior-level, and 7% entry-level. Project management ranked first among its remote-job categories, followed by computer and IT, operations, sales, and customer service. These figures describe FlexJobs’ dataset and period, not all remote jobs across the labor market. Its June 2026 midyear release used postings only through May 31, 2026, another reminder that employer rankings depend on when postings are counted.

How to verify a remote job before applying

  1. Search the employer’s official careers site. Use the company name plus the role or job family you want. A historical ranking is not a substitute for a current listing.
  2. Confirm location eligibility. Read whether the employer accepts applicants in your state or country; “remote” does not necessarily mean available everywhere.
  3. Check the work arrangement. Look for fully remote, hybrid, office attendance, travel, or other location requirements in the posting.
  4. Match the role to your experience and employment preference. Check seniority, required credentials, and whether the job is employee, contract, or another arrangement.
  5. Review posting details before sharing information. Note the posting date and application instructions, and apply through the employer’s official site when possible.

For comparing opportunities, prioritize the live opening in your occupation, eligible locations, remote-versus-hybrid terms, experience level and employment type, and the posting date. Those details are more useful than a company’s position on a past ranking.

Where a job-search service fits

FlexJobs says it specializes in flexible, hybrid, and remote listings and provides vetted listings and career resources. It can be one optional search resource, but verify its current membership features and terms directly. Whichever service you use, confirm a promising opening on the employer’s own careers page before applying.
