What each retailer’s offer meant
J.Crew: a select-item discount with stated exclusions
J.Crew advertised 40% off a purchase, but its archived September 2026 email describes a select-item offer: qualifying items had to be marked for the discount. The email states that the offer ran September 3–7 in the United States and excluded stores, phone orders, prior purchases, and gift cards. It should not be read as a blanket discount on everything J.Crew sold.
Madewell: distinguish select styles from sale markdowns
Madewell’s official event page displayed “25% off Select Styles.” Separately, Who What Wear reported that the event ran August 28–September 8 and offered up to 50% off sale items. These are different offer descriptions: the first applies to selected styles, while the second concerns already-marked sale merchandise. The cited information does not establish that every item qualified, that discounts could be combined, or that the same terms applied in stores.
Coach Outlet: examples are from the outlet channel
The official Coach Outlet Labor Day page covered several product categories and showed the Allison Zip Top Shoulder Bag at $279, reduced from $350, and the Ashton Wristlet at $69, reduced from $125. Those are examples from that event page, not evidence that all items received the same reduction. The page text available for the event did not establish its start or end date.

Anthropologie: event details were reported by a secondary source
Who What Wear reported that Anthropologie’s event ran September 2–7, 2026, with up to 40% off clothing, accessories, and home goods. The retailer’s promotions page provides general promotion information, but it does not confirm those specific Labor Day dates or discount. Treat the event description as reported coverage, not a retailer-verified offer.

Because these offers have expired, they are useful only as a record of the 2026 events. For a future promotion or current purchase, check the retailer’s live terms and the item page before checkout. In particular, confirm whether a discount is limited to marked styles, applies to sale merchandise, requires a code, excludes particular categories, or is restricted to online or in-store orders. A headline percentage alone does not establish that a specific product qualifies.
