Brighton & Hove Albion had the highest known net spend among 2024/25 Premier League clubs, with recorded spending exceeding recorded transfer income by €230.5 million. The figures below are TransferNews’ recorded EUR fees for the full season, not a complete account of every club’s transfer costs.

That means the table compares the fees recorded by this database, rather than verified total spending or all financial costs associated with transfers. Transfer fees alone also do not show wages, loan terms, add-ons that have not been recorded, or other club finances.
How to read net spend
The table uses the formula net balance = known income − known spending. For example, Brighton’s €49.8 million in recorded income minus €280.3 million in recorded spending gives a −€230.5 million balance. The negative sign indicates a net outflow in the recorded fees. Liverpool’s €47.0 million in income against €42.0 million in spending gives a +€5.0 million balance.

Why summer-window rankings may differ
A summer-only ranking is not directly comparable with this full-season table: it can use a different cutoff, data publisher and currency. For example, a Sporting News article by Dom Farrell, published 31 August 2024, reported a £610 million Premier League summer-window net spend using Transfermarkt figures as of 30 August 2024. It also placed Brighton at the top of its club table. Those are summer-window figures in pounds, not the full-season EUR balances shown here.
