For a luxury trip shaped by celebrity culture, the choice might mean a beach club in Mykonos, a ski week in Aspen, or a food-focused stay in Oaxaca. But there is no single authoritative ranking of where celebrities vacation. This guide combines the ten destinations in a Casino News study reported by Travel + Leisure in June 2026 with five additional editorial picks from Chase Travel. Only the first ten are study-ranked; the other five are not.

How to read this list

The study-reported order below is not a universal measure of celebrity popularity, and the destinations have very different trip styles. Its reported hotel figures are approximate study averages, not current quotes or like-for-like prices for the same dates and property types. Chase Travel’s five additions are editorial selections, not results from that study. A destination’s association with celebrity travel also does not mean visitors are likely to see a celebrity or find guaranteed privacy.

For broader context, Visa Business and Economic Insights reported that affluent households—defined in its analysis as earning more than $200,000 a year—accounted for as much as one in every four dollars spent on travel globally. The analysis used aggregated VisaNet transactions and international travel estimates, with data last actual in 2024; it describes affluent travelers, not celebrity behavior. The ten destinations in the reported study

Travel + Leisure published the following order from a Casino News study on June 8, 2026. The reported nightly figures are included only where the article supplies them.

  1. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

The study placed Cabo first and Travel + Leisure cited celebrity sightings over the years. The study-reported average for five-star hotels was about $400 per night; that is an approximate study figure, not a live rate for a particular stay.

  2. Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Ranked second, Palma offers a more understated luxury profile built around estates, coves, marinas and resorts. The study report says high-end stays can approach $1,000 nightly in peak season; it does not establish a standard or year-round price.

  3. Mykonos, Greece

At number three, Mykonos is associated with beach clubs and nightlife. Chase Travel also describes yacht excursions and quieter hotel options, so the island can suit travelers seeking either a social scene or a more low-key base.

  4. Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos

Ranked fourth, Grace Bay is characterized in the report as a destination for privacy. That is a description of its appeal, not a promise of seclusion at every resort or beach.

  5. Tulum, Mexico

Tulum came fifth. The study comparison characterized it as a relatively affordable luxury beach destination and reported five-star hotel rates averaging around $240 per night. The figure is approximate and study-reported, not a current booking quote.

  6. Aspen, Colorado

Sixth in the study, Aspen was described as one of its costliest celebrity escapes. Chase Travel highlights the seasonal shift: winter brings skiing and après-ski, while summer offers hiking near Maroon Bells.

  7. Nice, France

Nice ranked seventh. The reported coverage establishes its place in the study’s list but does not provide a detailed celebrity-specific itinerary or comparable hotel price.

  8. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Punta Cana ranked eighth. The available coverage does not establish a celebrity-specific itinerary, named celebrity visitors or a comparable hotel-price figure.

  9. Lake Como, Italy

At number nine, Lake Como is the list’s clearest high-end hotel-price outlier: the study reported luxury hotel averages above $1,600 per night. That is an approximate study average, not current pricing for a specific property or date.

  10. Ibiza, Spain

Ibiza rounded out the study’s top ten. Chase Travel describes a mix of beach clubs, international DJ nightlife, wellness retreats and resort stays, giving travelers options beyond the island’s party reputation.

Five additional luxury destinations

Chase Travel covers these five places as celebrity vacation hotspots. They add variety to the list, but they are not ranked results from the Casino News study.

  1. Saint-Tropez, France

A yacht-filled harbor, high-end hotels, designer shopping and beach clubs underpin Saint-Tropez’s jet-set reputation, which Chase Travel traces to the 1960s. It is a fit for travelers who want a polished Mediterranean resort scene.

  2. Bodrum, Turkey

Bodrum pairs beach and nightlife culture with luxury hotels and Yalıkavak Marina. Its historic attractions, including Bodrum Castle, offer a cultural counterpoint to the Turkish Riviera’s resort scene.

  3. Porto Ercole, Italy

This Tuscan coastal town offers beaches, a harbor and summer yachts, with the advantage of proximity to Rome. Chase presents it as a lower-profile option; the available coverage does not establish it as a broad celebrity favorite.

  4. Oaxaca, Mexico

Oaxaca offers a different kind of luxury trip: heritage, food, art, galleries and hotels rather than a beach-club circuit. It is the strongest culture-and-food choice among these additions.

  5. Phuket, Thailand

Phuket combines beaches, nightlife, night markets and luxury resorts, but the island does not have one uniform atmosphere. Chase notes quieter coastal areas beyond Patong for travelers who want a less nightlife-centered stay.

Choose by trip style, not celebrity status

These destinations are easier to compare by the experience you want than by an assumed level of fame. Use the list as a starting point, then check dates, location and lodging costs before committing.

  • For beach clubs and nightlife: Mykonos, Ibiza, Saint-Tropez and Bodrum.
  • For beach resorts with a quieter angle: Grace Bay, Palma de Mallorca, Tulum or quieter parts of Phuket. Privacy depends on the specific property and season.
  • For winter sports or summer nature: Aspen, with skiing in winter and hiking near Maroon Bells in summer.
  • For food, art and heritage: Oaxaca; Bodrum adds historic attractions to a resort-focused trip.
  • For a lower-profile coastal stay: Porto Ercole, while recognizing that the source describes its character rather than proving celebrity popularity.

Season matters for both atmosphere and cost: Palma’s reported near-$1,000 high-end stays apply to peak season, while Aspen’s draw changes between winter skiing and summer hiking. The available hotel figures cover only four destinations and are drawn from one reported study, so they should not be treated as a direct price comparison across all 15. Confirm current rates, taxes, availability and cancellation terms for your dates before booking.
