There is no single reliable public ranking of these people’s personal fortunes: EPBD’s Wealth Perception Index 2025 ranks business groups and reports group-level valuations, not individual net worth. Its listed-group sequence offers a dated guide to prominent names, but several entries are institutions or people associated with a group rather than its sole owners.
The 12 names in EPBD’s listed-group order
The figures below are the market capitalization and group equity value reported in EPBD’s Wealth Perception Index 2025. They are not estimates of the named person’s personal wealth. EPBD dates the Fauji Foundation valuation snapshot to August 9, 2025; the report’s figures should be read as dated report values, not live October 2026 valuations. EPBD’s report.

What the two valuation measures mean
Market capitalization
Market capitalization is the market value of a company’s publicly traded shares. It can move as share prices change and is not the same as the cash or assets owned by an individual associated with that company.

Group equity value
Group equity value is the separate group-level measure reported by EPBD. It should not be relabeled as an owner’s personal net worth. The two columns can differ substantially: for Bestway/UBL, for example, the index lists $4.513 billion in market capitalization and $3.620 billion in group equity value.
Why this is not a personal-wealth ranking
The names are connected to companies, banks, foundations, or conglomerates, but a group valuation does not disclose how much of that value belongs personally to a particular person. Ownership stakes, family holdings, liabilities, private assets, and the interests of other shareholders all matter to a personal-wealth calculation.
Other coverage mixes categories such as investments, group rankings, assets, and reported individual net worth; those figures cannot be compared as if they measured the same thing. Profit’s August 15, 2025 coverage describes EPBD’s report as covering 20 public-listed groups and 20 private groups, while reinforcing that its valuations concern groups rather than a consistent personal-fortune table. Use the 2025 index as a snapshot of the groups and names it features, not as a current October 2026 leaderboard or a precise answer to who has the largest personal fortune in Pakistan. Its public-listed order is useful for comparing reported group measures, provided those measures remain distinct from personal wealth.
