How to choose a fragrance-free hair product
Start with the job you need the product to do: cleanse, condition, address dandruff, style, or refresh hair between washes. Then check the exact wording and current ingredient list for the product sold in your market. A brand’s use of “fragrance free” or “unscented” is not an individualized allergy assessment.
For people with a known sensitivity, CeraVe Canada notes: “Fragrance is often added to products to give them a pleasant scent. The manufacturer terms identify how a brand presents a product, but they do not establish that every person with a sensitivity will tolerate it.
