11x.ai announced a $24 million Series A led by Benchmark on September 16, 2024, to develop and expand its AI agents for sales and other go-to-market work. The company called them “AI digital workers”: software that performs defined tasks, not physical employees. The funding announcement was followed by a separate, approximately $50 million Series B reported by TechCrunch on September 30, 2024.
What 11x.ai announced
In its September 16, 2024 announcement, 11x said it had raised $24 million in a Series A led by Benchmark. The company said it would use the funding for product development, hiring, and expansion, particularly in the United States. It also said it had relocated its headquarters to San Francisco.
The company announcement listed participation from Quiet Capital, SV Angel, Abstract Ventures, Lux Capital, Operator Partners, Visionaries, Activant, HubSpot Ventures, Project A, 20VC, 20Growth, and 20Sales. These are details reported by 11x, not audited financing records.
What 11x means by “AI digital employees”
11x positioned its agents as software that carries out go-to-market (GTM) workflows—work associated with finding, contacting, and qualifying potential customers—rather than as another standalone tool for employees to operate. The practical distinction is between buying access to software and asking an agent to complete specific work. That framing is the company’s positioning, not an independent assessment of how much work the agents can reliably replace.

Alice: prospecting and outreach
In the Series A blog, 11x described Alice as an AI sales development representative for prospecting, lead research, lead generation, personalized outreach, and engagement across multiple channels. The announcement said Alice could produce “up to 3x higher response rates.” That is a company-reported claim; the announcement does not establish a measurement method or show that the result applies broadly across customers.
Mike in the Series A blog; Jordan in other accounts
The naming is not consistent across the contemporaneous materials. The company’s September 16 press release calls its phone representative Jordan, as does TechCrunch’s September 16 report. The Series A blog instead calls the representative Mike. It is safest to retain each source’s name rather than assume the names refer to an unchanged product or are interchangeable.

The company described the phone agent as handling inbound lead qualification and consented outbound calls, with follow-up actions such as updating a CRM or scheduling a meeting. Its announcement said the agent had made customers’ inbound lead follow-up “10x” faster. This is also a company-reported result; the available announcement does not establish its methodology or generalizability.
What was known about the company at the time
TechCrunch reported that 11x was founded in 2022, initially in London, and was moving its headquarters to San Francisco. It also reported that founder and CEO Hasan Sukkar said the company was approaching $10 million in annual recurring revenue and that customers included Brex, DataStax, and Otter. Those figures and customer references were reported in the founder/company context at the time; they are not audited financial results.

The same TechCrunch report said 11x had previously raised a $2 million seed round led by Project A roughly a year earlier. Sukkar described its phone agent as capable of real-time conversations lasting up to 30 minutes. That statement, like the product performance claims, is attributed to the founder rather than independently verified.
The $24 million Series A was not 11x’s last reported round
On September 30, 2024, TechCrunch reported that 11x had raised approximately $50 million in a Series B led by Andreessen Horowitz, citing sources. The report said 11x and Andreessen Horowitz had not immediately responded to requests for comment. This was later reporting, separate from the September 16 Series A announcement.

The financing establishes that Benchmark led a $24 million Series A announced in September 2024. It does not, by itself, establish that the agents outperform human teams, deliver the stated response or follow-up improvements for every customer, or offer better economics than other sales tools.

For a buyer evaluating AI sales agents, the announcement’s product descriptions suggest useful questions: which workflows are actually automated, which channels are supported, what integrations are required, when a human reviews or takes over, what language coverage is available, and how claimed outcomes were measured. The announcement and contemporaneous reporting do not provide a verified competitor comparison or a complete current pricing and integration breakdown.
