The article also illustrated hypothetical returns at future token prices from $1 to $15. One example said that $5,000 at the stated presale price would buy 31,800 tokens and be worth $190,800 at $6 per token. That is a scenario based on the article’s assumptions, not a forecast, realized return or evidence that the token could be bought or sold at those prices. The article’s Q2 2025 mainnet target is also historical; whether it was met is not established here.
Can this list tell you what to buy now?
No. The title’s “best tokens to buy” language is a question posed in a 2025 promotional buying list, not a conclusion supported by current comparative data. The available information does not provide a dated, consistent assessment of these tokens’ present-day use, liquidity, security, governance, supply and unlocks, ownership concentration, regulatory exposure or custody options. Without that evidence, ranking them as current buys would overstate what is known.

The SEC’s March 23, 2023 investor alert describes crypto asset securities as exceptionally volatile and speculative. It lists risks such as illiquidity, platform failure or bankruptcy, markets disappearing, regulatory restrictions, hacking, and inability to recover assets after fraud or default. The alert is general guidance, not a token-by-token risk assessment or a legal classification of every asset in this list. The SEC’s practical warning is: “The only money you should put at risk with any speculative investment is money you can afford to lose entirely.”
How to assess a token before making an investment decision
A project’s description or a publisher’s attention list is only a starting point. Before treating any token as a candidate, compare it with alternatives using evidence that is current, dated and comparable:

- Function and value accrual: Identify what the token is used for and whether network activity creates a reason to hold or use it. A project’s stated purpose alone does not show that token holders capture value.
- Usage and liquidity: Look for independently checkable, time-bounded evidence of network use and trading liquidity. Activity claims should specify what was measured and when.
- Security and governance: Review documented security practices, incident history and how protocol changes are decided. Do not treat a project’s assurances as independent verification.
- Supply and concentration: Check circulating and maximum supply where established, future unlocks and concentration among large holders. These affect potential selling pressure and control.
- Regulatory and custody exposure: Consider the rules that may apply where you live, how the asset can be held or traded, and the risks of the custody method you would use.
- Evidence quality: Separate primary documentation and independent reporting from promotional claims. Be cautious with adoption, partnership and price-target statements that lack verifiable detail.
The April 2025 article does not provide enough current evidence to score these ten tokens on those dimensions. A reader would need to verify each one separately rather than infer investment merit from its place in the list.

The SEC Office of Investor Education and Assistance’s December 12, 2025 bulletin explains that a crypto wallet does not hold the crypto assets themselves; it holds the private keys used to access them. It distinguishes internet-connected hot wallets from cold wallets, which are typically physical devices not connected to the internet.

Cold storage is generally less exposed to cyberthreats than hot storage, but a physical device can be lost, stolen or damaged. With self-custody, you are responsible for private keys and seed phrases; losing them may permanently remove access. With a third-party custodian, the provider manages keys, but you take on questions about provider reliability, insolvency, access and fees. A cold wallet is a custody choice, not evidence that a token is a good investment. Device compatibility also depends on the specific model and network.
