Some supercars have maintenance estimates that look surprisingly manageable, but none comes with a guaranteed low bill. Costs depend on the specific year and condition, mileage, local labor, service history, and whether an estimate includes repairs as well as scheduled service. The ten cars below are an editorial shortlist, not a verified ranking: the available figures come from different sources and do not use one standardized comparison method.
How to read these maintenance figures
Published estimates are useful for screening cars, not for predicting the bill on a particular example. A yearly average, a five-year projection, and a ten-year model are different measures; they should not be compared as if they cover the same ownership period. “Maintenance” may also mean scheduled service alone or combine routine work with repairs. Tires, brakes, clutch work, insurance, and depreciation can materially affect ownership costs without appearing in a maintenance estimate.
SlashGear’s shortlist draws on sources including RepairPal, CarEdge, Edmunds, Kelley Blue Book, service guides, and owner insights, but it does not present a standardized head-to-head study. The figures below retain the source and time horizon available. Where the estimate could not be independently confirmed or its scope is unclear, that limitation is stated rather than treating it as a firm price.
Ten supercars with reported lower maintenance costs
1. Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C8)
SlashGear reports CarEdge estimates of $3,272 over five years and $9,239 over ten years for maintenance and repairs. These are projected totals reported by SlashGear; the underlying estimate page and date were not independently verified. U.S. GM parts availability may help with service access, but it does not guarantee low labor or repair costs for a particular car.

2. Audi R8
SlashGear reports two different annual estimates: $1,123 from RepairPal and about $976 from CarEdge. They are separate provider estimates, not a range derived from a common calculation, and neither underlying page was independently verified. SlashGear points to shared parts and service-network access as potential advantages; actual costs depend on the R8’s year, condition, and the expertise available nearby.
3. Nissan GT-R (R35)
CarEdge currently estimates about $9,230 for maintenance and repairs over the GT-R’s first ten years, including an estimated $3,466 over the first five. It also puts the probability of a major repair within ten years at 17.94%; CarEdge defines a major repair as one costing more than $500, including parts and labor. These are modeled estimates, not a quote or guarantee for an individual vehicle. See CarEdge’s GT-R maintenance estimate.

CarEdge lists oil and filter service every 7,500 miles, with additional items at milestones including 30,000 and 60,000 miles. Nissan’s official schedule tool asks for a VIN or trim and accounts for distance and driving conditions, so use it for a car-specific schedule rather than assuming the general interval applies to every GT-R. Check Nissan’s maintenance schedule tool.
4. Porsche 911 Turbo (997)
SlashGear reports RepairPal annual maintenance of about $1,072 for the 997-generation 911 Turbo. This is a secondary-reported figure, and it should not be applied to other 911 generations or model years. A pre-purchase inspection and documented service history matter more than a broad average when evaluating a used example.

5. Aston Martin V8 Vantage
SlashGear reports a CarEdge estimate of $19,992 over five years and yearly maintenance near $2,350. The underlying estimate was not independently verified, and the page excerpt does not establish a common calculation basis for those two figures. Treat them as reported projections, not a dependable annual budget for every V8 Vantage.
6. Dodge Viper SRT-10
SlashGear describes the Viper SRT-10’s service as comparatively straightforward but gives an annual figure around $450 without clearly identifying its source in the reviewed material. Because that number is weakly sourced and its scope is unclear, it is not a reliable basis for budgeting. For this low-volume model, condition, parts sourcing, and access to a technician familiar with the car can outweigh a general average.

7. Lamborghini Huracán
SlashGear reports annual routine upkeep of $850–$1,500, a five-year total around $21,600, and the possibility of a larger service near year five. These are secondary estimates, not independently verified here, and the reported figures are not presented on a consistent basis. The exact generation, service plan, and work included should be confirmed before using them to compare a specific Huracán.
8. BMW i8
SlashGear reports roughly $979 per year and describes service intervals of 10,000 miles, brake-fluid service at 30,000 miles, and spark-plug replacement around 60,000 miles. The yearly estimate was not independently verified, and those interval details should be checked against the owner’s manual for the exact model year before planning service.

9. Mercedes-Benz AMG GT (C190)
SlashGear reports CarEdge estimates of about $5,831 over five years and $16,076 over ten years. The underlying estimate page and date were not verified, so these are best treated as reported projections rather than current quotes. The model-year and condition of a particular AMG GT can change the ownership picture considerably.
10. Acura NSX
SlashGear attributes an average yearly repair cost of $354 to RepairPal. “Repair cost” is not necessarily the same as scheduled maintenance or total ownership cost, and the underlying estimate page was not independently verified. Do not treat this number as an all-in annual budget for an NSX.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the Nissan GT-R illustrates the limits of a ranking
SlashGear reports a GT-R ten-year figure of $9,127 from CarEdge, while CarEdge’s currently reviewed page displays about $9,230. The newer displayed figure is the more direct reference for CarEdge’s current estimate; the difference shows why a list assembled from secondary figures can become stale. Similarly, SlashGear reports two distinct annual estimates for the R8 rather than one settled cost.
Neither example establishes that one model is definitively cheaper to maintain than another. A fair comparison would use the same ownership horizon, model years, mileage assumptions, and definition of maintenance across every car. Those comparable inputs are not available for this ten-car list.

How to estimate the cost of a specific car before buying
- Identify the exact car. Record its model year, generation, trim, mileage, and service history. A figure for a 997 911 Turbo is not a figure for every 911, and the same distinction applies across generations of the other models.
- Get the applicable service schedule. Use the maker’s VIN- or trim-based schedule where available. For a GT-R, Nissan’s schedule tool personalizes recommendations by configuration, distance, and driving conditions.
- Separate scheduled service from repairs and wear. Ask what an estimate includes, then budget separately for high-cost items such as tires, brakes, clutches, and suspension work if they are not covered.
- Check local service access. Ask a qualified dealer or independent specialist for a written estimate for the next scheduled work and an inspection of the specific car. Local labor rates and parts availability can make a national average a poor guide.
- Use the inspection and records to refine the budget. Recent work, upcoming service milestones, warning signs, and gaps in documentation can shift expected costs substantially. A model-level average cannot substitute for a condition assessment.
What “won’t break the bank” can—and cannot—mean
These cars are notable because some published maintenance or repair estimates appear less daunting than their supercar reputations suggest. That does not make them inexpensive to own, nor does it mean an estimate covers insurance, depreciation, financing, fuel, or every wear item and unexpected repair. For a personal-finance decision, the useful number is a car-specific budget built from the actual service schedule, inspection findings, local labor quotes, and the costs excluded by the estimate.
