John Cena’s reported collection includes rare American muscle cars, European performance cars and two Ford GTs from different generations. The ten-car list below comes from a SlashGear article published January 6, 2023; it is a dated media selection, not a verified ranking of the cars he owns today or their current values.
Which cars appeared on the 2023 list?
SlashGear named these ten vehicles as among Cena’s priciest purchases. The list reflects that article’s reporting and should not be read as a confirmed current inventory or a strict price ranking.
- 2006 Rolls-Royce Phantom
- 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo, nicknamed “Lamborgreeni”
- Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale
- Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
- Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition
- 1970 Buick GSX
- Plymouth Superbird
- Custom Dream Machines InCENArator
- 2006 Ford GT
- 2017 Ford GT
The two Ford GTs have different stories. The 2006 model appeared among cars Cena discussed in an older interview. The 2017 GT was sold and later became the subject of a dispute with Ford, as SlashGear reported. Their appearance on the same list does not mean Cena owns both now.
What do published estimates and auction examples tell us?
Published estimates and completed auction sales are not interchangeable. The figures below are tied to the named outlet and date; none is a verified sale price or appraisal of Cena’s individual car.

| Vehicle or comparison | Reported figure | What the figure represents |
|---|---|---|
| 2006 Ford GT | $149,995 | 24/7 Wall St.’s 2024 estimated value; not a confirmed transaction price for Cena’s car. |
| 1970 Plymouth Superbird | $250,000 | 24/7 Wall St.’s 2024 estimate, not a valuation of a specific example owned by Cena. |
| 1986 Lamborghini Countach | $400,000 | 24/7 Wall St.’s 2024 estimate. This car is not one of the ten named by SlashGear. |
| Custom InCENArator | Undetermined | 24/7 Wall St. did not assign a value; it is a custom Corvette-based build. |
| 1970 Buick GSX examples | $75,000–$141,000 | SlashGear’s 2023 report of three public-auction sales during the preceding five years. |
| Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren examples | $282,000–$445,000 | SlashGear’s 2023 report of cited auction sales; the examples were silver, while Cena’s car was reported as black. |
The estimates and auction ranges come from 24/7 Wall St.’s 2024 feature and SlashGear’s 2023 article. They describe different vehicles and kinds of evidence, so they cannot be combined into a precise ranking.
Why can’t these figures establish a collection total?
A collector car’s value can vary with the exact year and variant, originality, options, mileage, condition, provenance and type of sale. A completed auction result is evidence of what a particular car sold for in a particular transaction; an estimate is an outlet’s assessment, not a sale. Cena’s reported black SLR, for example, is not directly comparable to the silver auction cars cited by SlashGear.

Hagerty says its Price Guide draws on auction results, asking prices and private-sale activity. Such market information can help frame a valuation, but it does not appraise Cena’s specific vehicles. The available reporting does not provide a comparable, fully specified set of current appraisals for all ten cars, so it cannot support a reliable total collection value.
Does John Cena still own the cars on the list?
The 2023 list is not proof of present ownership. Reporting about Cena’s collection spans interviews and articles from different years, and the reported inventory changes over time. The 2017 Ford GT is a clear example: SlashGear’s account says it was sold and became part of a dispute with Ford. Later coverage, including a Times of India article published in 2026, does not establish a complete current inventory or provide current values for every car.

What does Cena say about collecting?
In a historical Motor Trend interview, Cena explained his approach: “I don’t just buy them to buy them. I buy them because I enjoy them, and every car has a story.” He also singled out the AMC Hornet as a favorite for cruising because it is rare. That perspective helps explain why a list framed around expense does not capture the full appeal of his collection: rarity, personal interest and the story attached to a car matter alongside market value.
