Instead, this guide looks at ten noteworthy luxury labels and separates current prices verified on official US pages from names that could not be checked on a like-for-like basis. Prices were accessed on October 7, 2026, and can change; a high price alone does not establish quality, durability, or value.
What counts as an expensive designer kids’ label?
For a useful comparison, look at the same kind of item, the child’s age band, the listed US price, the materials or construction the product page actually describes, and whether the price is full-price or reduced. A baby coat and an older child’s formal dress are not direct comparisons, and neither is a garment comparable to a bag.
The official brand pages cited below provide current examples for six labels. The other four are included as notable names, not as verified members of a current price ranking: the available older reporting does not establish their present US children’s selections or comparable prices. “Couture” here is used colloquially; these examples are luxury designer children’s clothing, not a claim that every piece is couture.
Six labels with current official US price examples
Dolce&Gabbana
The US children’s page lists formalwear including a silk organza dress at $4,345 and a Chantilly lace dress with gemstones at $4,595. It also lists a tuxedo suit at $1,795 and a classic silk mikado jacket at $1,095. These are selected formalwear examples, not a brand-wide average or a ranking across categories. Shop Dolce&Gabbana children’s clothing.
#1 Best Overall
Dior
Dior’s US boys’ page lists a hooded down jacket from $2,200 and a Dior Rider backpack at $2,350. Its girls’ essentials page lists a small multifunctional bag at $2,100 and a messenger bag at $2,200. The bags should not be treated as clothing-price comparisons. Dior boys; Dior girls’ essentials.
Fendi
Fendi’s US baby page lists a baby coat at $1,800. A baby-girl page lists a coat at $2,250 and a dress at $1,350. These are baby-category examples, not a proxy for prices across older children’s sizes. Shop Fendi baby clothing.

Moncler
On Moncler’s US baby-girl page, a wool-and-cashmere set is listed at $605 and a padded wool-and-cashmere cardigan at $550. Gift-boxed sets are listed at $440–$480. These prices are for baby-girl items. Shop Moncler baby-girl clothing.
Versace
Versace’s US children’s page includes a cotton-poplin dress for babies at $575 and a padded baby nest at $575, as well as newborn clothing sets. The page spans newborn through older children, so check the individual listing’s age range rather than assuming every displayed item fits the same age group. Shop Versace children’s clothing.
Rank #3
Givenchy
Givenchy’s US kids page displayed original listed prices of $255 for a faux-fur teddy bear, $400 for pajamas with a toy, and $540 for a reversible cardigan-and-pants gift set. The page also showed 40% reductions when accessed, making these figures particularly time-sensitive; the original listed prices are not the same as the displayed sale prices. Shop Givenchy kids’ clothing and gifts.
Four additional luxury labels without verified current price comparisons
Older secondary reporting names Gucci, Burberry, Balmain, Chloé, and Stella McCartney among labels associated with children’s fashion. That reporting does not establish current US children’s assortments or comparable prices, so it cannot support a claim that any four of them belong in a current “most expensive” top ten. They are useful names to investigate, not ranked entries with verified prices. Read the older Modaes report.
Rank #4
How to compare a luxury kids’ price with your budget
- Compare like with like. Separate formal dresses, coats, baby sets, bags, and accessories; category differences can overwhelm brand-to-brand differences.
- Check age and size. Baby garments and older-child apparel serve different needs and may have very different prices.
- Confirm the price status. A sale price can change or disappear, and a page may show both an original and reduced price.
- Read the product description. Consider only materials and construction details the listing actually states; price alone is not evidence of superior quality or lasting value.
- Set a total spending limit. For occasionwear, include likely alterations, accessories, and how often the child may wear the item. A lower-cost formal option may better fit a one-time event.
All official-page price examples above are US listings accessed October 7, 2026. Assortments, prices, and sale labels may change. The examples show that some luxury children’s pieces have four-figure prices, but they do not establish a definitive cross-brand ranking.
