Honda’s U.S. pages list 2026 base MSRPs and destination charges for eight models below; the CRF300L and Shadow Phantom entries are tied to 2025 evidence and are not presented as confirmed 2026 buys.
These are manufacturer-listed prices, not out-the-door quotes. Taxes, registration, dealer fees, promotions, and local availability can change what you pay. Honda’s published figures also do not establish insurance, maintenance, fuel, tire, or depreciation costs, so this is a use-case shortlist—not a ranking of total ownership cost.
How to judge value in a Honda motorcycle
Start with the riding you will actually do, then compare what each model includes at its listed price. A cheaper motorcycle may be the better fit for commuting or learning; a higher-priced model may make more sense if its format, engine, or included touring equipment avoids compromises for your intended use.
- Use and terrain: distinguish a standard, sport, adventure, cruiser, and dual-sport format before comparing prices.
- Purchase cost: add the listed destination charge to base MSRP, then ask a dealer for the complete out-the-door price.
- Fit and equipment: consider seat height, transmission, ABS availability, and whether luggage or wind protection is included.
- Ongoing costs: get quotes for insurance and maintenance, and budget for fuel, tires, and depreciation. Comparable figures for these costs are not established for this shortlist.
Honda’s 2026 U.S. sportbike lineup lists the first four models below. The Rebel prices and specifications come from Honda’s 2026 Rebel 500 page and 2026 Rebel 1100 lineup. The dollar amounts are Honda’s published base MSRP and destination charge, not dealer quotes.

Eight Honda models with published 2026 prices
| Model and use | Honda-listed price | What the price may suit |
|---|---|---|
| CB300R (standard) | $4,499 base MSRP + $600 destination | A price-led standard choice; Honda’s least expensive model in the cited 2026 sportbike lineup. |
| CB500 Hornet (standard) | $5,899 base MSRP + $600 destination | A larger standard-class step up. Decide whether its additional $1,400 in base MSRP over the CB300R suits your needs. |
| CBR500R (sport) | $6,399 base MSRP + $600 destination | A sport-styled middleweight option in Honda’s cited lower-MSRP lineup. |
| NX500 (adventure) | $6,899 base MSRP + $600 destination | Worth comparing if you specifically want Honda’s adventure format. |
| Rebel 300 E-Clutch (cruiser) | $5,349 base MSRP + $600 destination | Honda lists a 286cc single, a 27.2-inch seat, and E-Clutch. |
| Rebel 500 (cruiser) | $6,799 base MSRP + $600 destination | Honda lists a 471cc liquid-cooled parallel twin, six-speed manual, 27.2-inch seat height, and ABS. |
| Rebel 1100 (cruiser) | $9,699 base MSRP + $775 destination | A larger 1084cc parallel twin; weigh its added performance and equipment against the higher price. |
| Rebel 1100T (cruiser/touring) | $10,899 base MSRP + $775 destination | Includes hard saddlebags, a fairing, and a windscreen—equipment to compare with the cost and convenience of adding accessories separately. |
The prices above are the figures published by Honda for the 2026 U.S. models; confirm model-year availability and current pricing with Honda or a dealer before buying. Honda says select models have reduced 2026 MSRPs. That manufacturer announcement is a price claim, not an independent assessment of performance or value.
Two additional models with dated evidence
These entries help round out the range of Honda riding formats, but the cited information does not establish them as current 2026 purchases. Treat them as models to investigate, not as price-matched alternatives to the eight 2026 entries.

CRF300L: dual-sport, with 2025 specifications
Honda’s 2025 motorcycle comparison document lists the CRF300L with a 286cc single and 10.2 inches of front and rear suspension travel. The cited comparison does not establish a current price, so it cannot be placed on the same price footing as the 2026 models.
Shadow Phantom ABS: a 2025 listing, not confirmed 2026 pricing
A 2025 Honda related-model listing showed the Shadow Phantom ABS at $8,699 base MSRP plus $600 destination. Confirm its model-year availability and current price with Honda or a dealer before treating it as a current option.

Which Honda motorcycle is the best value for you?
- If purchase price leads: compare the CB300R’s $4,499 base MSRP with the Rebel 300 E-Clutch’s $5,349 base MSRP. They represent different riding formats, so the lowest price alone does not decide which fits.
- If you want a standard or sport bike: the CB300R, CB500 Hornet, and CBR500R provide a price progression across those formats; choose based on the riding position and type of riding you want, not the price ladder by itself.
- If you want a cruiser: the Rebel 500 is a middleweight candidate with a 471cc twin, manual transmission, ABS, and low seat height. The Rebel 1100 costs more and has a larger engine; compare the extra capability with your actual needs.
- If you want touring equipment included: consider whether the Rebel 1100T’s saddlebags, fairing, and windscreen justify its higher listed price relative to the Rebel 1100.
- If you need a dual-sport: investigate the CRF300L’s current model-year status and price separately; the cited 2025 comparison gives specifications but not a comparable current price.
No model can be named the least expensive to own from these prices and specifications alone. Insurance, service, fuel, tires, resale value, and dealer charges depend on the rider, location, and individual transaction.
