Think Football Ideas published the list on 6 April 2025 and updated it on 23 August 2025; the article says its figures came from Capology and were current as of 5 April 2025. The ranking is a secondary source, not a public register of player contracts.

They are estimates, not disclosed contract terms

A weekly wage is not necessarily total compensation

Ties reflect identical reported figures
McGinn and Tierney share the £110,000 figure; Hickey and Christie share £70,000; Gilmour and Adams share £53,723. Those are ties in the published estimates, not evidence that the players have identical contract terms.
